We used to have the Inventor's HOF, but I don't know the status of that any more. The building is still here in Akron, and is still somewhat affiliated, though now it professes to be some kind of School.  There are also  NIHOF  offices in North Canton,   but the induction ceremonies for new members has taken place in Washington DC  at some venue near the US Patent Office.  So, who knows the status of that.

Err, edit:  It seems that the museum has now been moved to Virginia:

National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum
    600 Dulany Street
    Alexandria, VA 22314

    The Goodyear blimp too.

To answer the question:   AA was founded in Akron, OH.   The two most important locations, as depicted above, are the old Mayflower Hotel where Dr Bob and Bill W first were introduced and sat down together to discussion their addictions (which is still there, converted to a senior citizens dwelling),  and the Gate Lodge),  and the other is the Gate Lodge of Stan Hywet Hall, where they met with the daughter-in-law  of the founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.  to put together and organize the AA organization.

And no, I am not a member, nor do I need to be. (though, my dad needed it...but never got it).  I just know my history

    Ohio has everything.

Rock and Roll HOF, NFL HOF and the Alcohol HOF.

After reading your post on booze, Id say you know of what you speak. Never tried Remy, but it sounds good.

Jameson is not the best, but its good value. Just like Jose Quervo 1800 tequila. Cant beat the price and quality.

So by this logic, Mayfield will be a bust too, since the Browns 1999 on have been a QB graveyard, right?

No, because the Browns hit a QB rich draft and were sitting in the cat bird seat.

The other years they still had to choose a QB too. Its like drinking Jameson or Zaya rum. You want Jameson because its the best, but if it aint around youll settle for Zaya and hold your nose.

........but all your really need to understand is that Andy Reid drafted him, had him on the roster a whole year, and then decided to trade the NFL's passer rating leader, who still had a year left at a somewhat reasonable 20 million, so he could make room to start Mahomes.  .....you can read glowing reports from writers, other players, coaches, etc...but the thing that should really make you take notice is they moved on from a good QB under contract to start this kid.  He's going to be freaking awesome.

Every Tom, Ghoolie and Harry looks like a star in practice. When it gets real they $hit the bed. Mahomes will be no different.

Reid drafting anybody means little. The great Eagles teams were built by GM Howie Roseman and not Andy Reid. Andy got his a$$ run out of town after the Eagles grew tired of his excuses. " I need to do a better job" - Andy Reid. The Eagles won the Lombardi because Andy was not around to screw it up.

  6. Mahomes will be a Bust.

The Chiefs always choose the wrong QB. This time they moved up in the wrong draft. Mahomes supposedly has the big arm that Alex Smith never had. The game is about quick decisions and short passes because they lead to higher completion percentage.

I'll still take a QB who can stand in the pocket, keep his eyes downfield while the pass rush is around him, process the play, make his reads, and consistently deliver an accurate, on-time pass over athletic one-read and run QBs all day long. The NFL has consistently caught up with the latter.

    Its a passing league.

A RB can get beat to death, but lay off a WR and QB.. The NFL wants scoring. Fans like scoring. A soccer match is painful to watch with so little scoring some games.

Only, Lamar doesn't run a 4.3.   He doesn't have the first step or lateral movement of Vick.    Nobody has since and chances are you won't see that in our lifetime.

Also, Vicks success against NFL defenses from 2001 vs  2010 was rather up and down.    The athletic premium put on the other side of the ball to stop or limit these runners has really been quite impressive over the last 10 years.    Do we think of Vick as 'Vick' if he started playing 10 years later vs 2000?   Me thinks not so much.

The way to defend these types is keep them in the pocket and force them to throw.

Make them play patient which they hate because they are used to bang - bang plays and making things happen out of no play.

Correct... including the 2015 draft class was a mistake. It resulted in an undercount for Jackson.

The new total for Jackson is 36 from the 2017 and 2016 classes plus 29 from 2018 for a total of 65 ACC defenders drafted that Jackson faced.

    https://www.ajc.com/sports/acc-players-selected-2018-nfl-draft/v5ekOCh91i82Fr5kzWMtjL/

In fairness to Allen, I need to redo his earlier total of 11. Now it's 7 from 2016 and 2017 plus 2 from 2018 for a new total of 9. Oops...

    https://www.mwcconnection.com/2018/4/30/17300930/2018-draft-post-draft-tracker

As for when and where the QBs faced the listed players... all I can say is that I addressed your original question. If you don't like the answer and want to change it now, that's your prerogative. By definition the players I counted signed pro contracts and thus were "pros Jackson played against at Louisville."

28 players added from the 2018 draft. Proehl is a WR.

    7TH - 4

    6TH - 3

    5TH - 4

    4TH - 4

    3RD - 6

    2ND - 2

    1ST - 5

The Term "Pros" is an NFL player who makes an impact for his team on the defensive side of the ball. IE: Starter like Jalen Ramsey, Kevin Johnson. Chubb should be one. Or a situational player or specialist like pass rusher or NT. Approximately 40% of the players drafted turn out to be of no use. Practice squad, special teams, bottom of depth chart guys that are drafted are not included with little to no chance of ever facing Jackson.

Troubling passing numbers here for Jackson

    Vs SEC 48.5% ouch.

Vs ACC 57% With all those ACC players drafted that you have provided us this is not good news.

VS MAC 82%. Tore up Kent State

When Jackson struggled with pass vs the SEC and ACC he was a beast running.

    Vs ACC 6.2 YAC.

    Vs SEC 7.0 YAC

There should be not much of an issue rushing for Jackson should the pass game evaporate. 4 - 5 YAC all day long.

The 20 drafted players in 2015 never faced Jackson.

Will Gardner and Reggie Bonnafon were the Louie QBs in 2014. Jackson wasnt on the roster http://gocards.com/roster.aspx?roster=49  and was the QB in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Declared as a Junior.

Shame too, because players like Vic Beasley are what Im most interested about.

Jackson dominated in the NCAA, but against who? Bench warmers, special teams people and practice squad bodies actually hurt his cause.

    Lots of good info.

A cursory glance reveals quite a few draft picks have never started an NFL game. Some are practice sqyad guys who Jackson will never face in the pros.

So 180 lb WR are quite common.... But a 215  lb athletic specimen at qb will break in half at first contact.

    I don't get the reasoning

RBs take a beating in the NFL and their careers are short lived. A WR is afforded a little protection within the rules.

My money is on this mobile QB experiment not working. Ghoolie is right, the days of Tarkenton are over. The successful teams stay in the pocket because its a passing league. The Browns appear to be joining the party with Mayfield. Throwing the ball away on 3rd and punting can be the smartest move to make sometimes.

There are not all that many with 4.3 speed and and quick twitch change of direction. Just go back and watch the old Vick plays and it's clear you CAN run against NFL speed successfully. It's his arm and ability to learn the intricacies of a playbook and reading defenses properly that are the real crux of his future as an NFL QB.

how many thousands of extra yards per season than Allen just in passing yards alone?

Defenses had to respect Jackson was a running threat, no?

How many pros did Jackson play against at Louie? Out of thousands of players about 200 players are drafted from all the NCAA football programs. Everybody is a pro at the NFL level. Strong, fast and smart. Jackson will get crushed in the NFL if he runs and I dont see him surviving taking away his run game.

He had over 3500 yds passing 2 seasons in a row.

    He can throw fine

    OH yeah?

Over 1500 rushing yards in consecutive seasons. At least 18 rushing TDs in each season. Jackson averaged 20 carries per game x 13 games in 2016. Averaged 18 carries per game x 13 games in 2017. You think he will suddenly stop running? The odds are not in your favor that he will.

56% completion rate in 2016. Same as Josh Allen. Ask all the Allen haters here why this number sucks.

59% completion rate in 2017. Headed to a league where it all gets real.
