  1. I give this team til next year to get to the playoffs.. After that, no more rooting for them. The mediocrity has gone on long enough.
  2. I saw a team that didn't have an identity in week 1.. Undisciplined, lacked explosiveness, they looked silly on a freaking screen pass... This season could get out of hand quickly if they can't win tonight.. Nevermind the SNF game.
  3. Got released today by NE Could make a good addition to a weak TE corps
  4. the other Johnson looking pretty solid today
  5. I dont care what anyone says on here im pulling for him Hope he rebounds his career and does good, except when he plays us.
  6. Could very well be.. Some people have said he has lost a step. Maybe that's why he was not utilized as much last season.
  7. Duke doesn't want to be here because he doesn't want to be the 3rd option... I get it, he's a good playmaker. He will have a good season until Hunt comes back, but he doesn't want to be a stop gap.. Trade him after week 8 and he'll be happy..
  8. Great advice from all of you, I really appreciate the knowledge.
  9. I just read through my benefits handbook and they just have a standard 401k, so they match up to 5%. I can roll over my SCRS 401(a) into my new employer's 401(k). I did accept the position at the hospital. Just seems like a better opportunity, more room for advancement, and more skills and systems I can learn. My first day will be on the 17th. Very excited about it.
  10. That's good to hear Cal. I still got another 40 years to think about it but it is important to start planning now. The one good thing about the college I work at is the State Retirement Plan. I put in 9% each month, they put in 20%
  11. Oh man I would of been fuming too.. Drive an hour for that bullshit? I would of left too. I got an inside contact at the hospital who said that its a good place to work. They are a growing hospital and from what ive read in their handbook, the benefits are awesome. Employee pharmacy with small co-pays, dental, vision, and medical insurance, 5.23 hours of PTO earned every pay period. The perks are there, lets just see how it goes once I get in. I wont lie when I tell you that I prayed before my interview, not something I would normally do, but he answered my prayer so that's promising lol.
  12. I appreciate your response Cal. I couldn't imagine commuting two hours to work.. That must of sucked the life out of you. And I couldn't imagine commuting in conditions like that. Glad I moved from Northeastern Pennsylvania to Myrtle Beach lol. Much warmer here. But my heart is always with the Browns wherever I live.. I think Im going to go with the hospital job. Seems like they are expanding and I got a good impression when I interviewed with them. My current employer has been dragging their feet with this Coordinator position, I applied for it back in December.. and just now they are finally getting the contract paperwork pushed up the chain of command. I really hope I am not in a position where I get an offer from the hospital, and HGTC drags their feet for the next few weeks.. But I expect it at this point.
  13. This is something that has come up in my life. I think its a good problem to have, but is also requiring a difficult decision. My current employer, which is a technical college that I have been with for almost 3 years now, has offered me a position to be the Coordinator of my department. I support faculty in my current position with D2L, which is a Learning Management System that the college uses. This position will be a bump in pay, along with the title. Same hours which are great, benefits, etc. etc. The only issue with this job is getting paid monthly.. Not really a dealbreaker, but it kind of sucks getting 12 paychecks a year. Now I have been through two interviews with a hospital for an IT Help Desk Analyst job. This position is more related to my field. Supporting hospital staff with IT issues, entering trouble tickets, etc. etc. Same kind of deal; Full time, benefits, the hours are a bit longer on Fridays, and I will be on call every 6th or 7th week. (Which is fine, whether you get called in that week or not, you make an extra $260 for the on call hours, and you get time and a half if you go in). So you can see the dilemma ahead of me. My question to all of you is this. Have you ever had two job offers, and if so, how did you handle it? What is the expected time frame to let each company know your decision? And was it the right choice for you?
  14. ...Well that took a different turn..
  15. He will be a sack machine, probably 12-15 sacks, 10 is the least he may get, but i disagree with him being DPOY.. Unless he puts up Aaron Donald numbers. He is my choice for DPOY.. That guy is gonna be a problem vs us..
  16. Maybe he can be our Nnamdi of the future?
  17. You need some cranberry juice for your menstrual cramps?
  18. I dont care if he wears womens panties and struts around Lake Erie.. If he can help us win ball games, that's all that matters..
  19. True. Nothing is free.. Someone is paying for it.
  20. Not sure if any of you heard of Andrew Yang. Presidential long shot who wants to give every American ages 18-64, $1000 a month.. https://bigthink.com/politics-current-affairs/andrew-yang-tax I like the idea, but it would take a massive overhaul of our current economic system, not to mention, taxes would double on everyone, and probably triple on the ultra wealthy(but fuck them, they got money). I guess if we ended social welfare programs and just replaced it with this, could it work? Im not sure... Im not an economist.. but if I had an extra 12k of disposable income a year, life would be a lot easier. Wouldn't be stressing about having to work every damn day to just make it by.. It would cost trillions of dollars a month, perhaps more, to give everyone this much money.. BUT.. Banks produce loans out of thin air, why can't the government do the same?
  21. We aren't shit until we can win consistently.. Remember expectations after 2007? Whose to say we don't flame out and go 6-10? Not saying I want that, but all this talk about winning the division, sweeping the AFCN, I mean it sounds great and all, but we haven't put together back-to-back seasons of AT LEAST 7 wins in well over a decade! 9-7 is where they will finish... Maybe. Still a young team, first year HC. Injuries are always a concern... I just hope these "expectations" don't have the opposite effect on this team like we've seen in the past..
