  1. I agree JM must be micro managed out of Berea too.
  2. Personally I hope he plays really well and we keep him meaning a draft pick can be used to bolster our defense instead. QBs have not been the issue(s) this year. I didn't see Sunday's game, but from what I heard Davis was okay. This team must be so low on confidence right now it's hard to see another win whoever plays QB.
  3. The more that comes out the more I have to agree with the decision. Johnny Football needs to be micro managed from now on or he will fail himself and throw his career away.
  4. You keep coming up with great points Flugel. I'm starting to have my doubts about Pettine, but still hoping he comes good. The recent Manziel incident has made me wonder whether our coaches are looking after the players (especially the young ones) outside the building. Young, lots of money, plenty of attention= lots of potential trouble. We also have to remember that our coaches are new at this too, and that's all of them. Who appointed all our coaches with no previous coaching experience? That was a bad call.
  5. This is the correct decision imo and I think shows that Pettine can make the sorts of decisions which some doubted he could. And spot on TexasAG1969, great posts.
  6. I was thinking on the way in to work this morning how different this season has been from the one expected by a lot of the experts on NFL.com. I think I'm right in saying that the general consensus was we were stuffed because our QBs sucked. If anything they have been the best part of our game. Our talked up defense has pretty much completely let us down in every way. Barnidge has shone and I've liked what I've seen of Duke Johnson and a couple of our other rookies (Orchard could have potential?). I think one or two of our vets have shown they need to leave. One of the few areas where the experts did seem to get it right was saying our WRs wouldn't deliver so hopefully we will pick up someone tall in the Draft that can also catch the all.
  7. In his fifth start Manziel throws the fourth highest yards on the road and the tenth overall for the Browns (I think I read that right). McCown also has made history this season with three consecutive games of over 300 yards so our QBs are doing well. Manziel is only 20 with 5 career starts so he gets my vote for the next game. He is also great to watch. If only our defense was good!
  8. Manziel finished on 372 yards in only his 5th start. I like McCown, but I'd prefer to see Johnny next game.
  9. Currently 27/33 for 292. Worthy of a start next game and should have been a TD given him.
  10. A shame about the rest of the team including some of the play calling!
  11. He's been great. That was a TD! Come on Johnny!
  12. Just got to say Flugel is talking a whole lot of sense to me in my newbie status in this great game! But the great thing is there are so many variants to the game that it caters for lots of opposing view points. I'm enjoying this thread.
