  1. With injuries to our top 3 pitchers and an offense that is middle of the roadish, I think we are destined for a .500 season.  They still will provide entertainment and could even provide a surprise.

As previously mentioned, I really think they need to trade Amed.  I don't see them paying another IF big money so go get a AAA talent that can make the 40 man roster and contribute next year.

This full list of unsigned former Browns is quite something

    Yeesh.

Sometimes our brown and orange glasses can really taint how good someone actually is...

Kareem is probably asking way too much.

John Johnson, that one hurts.  I had such high hopes for him.

Troy Hill, at least we have his awesome training camp fight.

  3. I need more time to process this.

Pundits like it but the New York series loss where we were bullied around is still fresh.

The FA signings certainly stretch out the offense and give us a more potent three point threat.  However, the real growth needs to come from Allen and Mobley.

  4. Cavs drafted Emoni Bates.  Former 5* recruit, 3rd in the class.

Reminds me of a Jordan Clarkson but we will see.

I would agree with the Cavs not being close as the Knicks pushed them around that series.

  5. I don't remember which game was my first but ill share my most memorable.

09/12/2004..the last season home opening win for the Browns.

    QB: Jeff Garcia

    Opponent: Ravens

    Time started drinking: 6:01 AM

Time I fell asleep in the stands: End of the First quarter

Time I awoke and went crazy: Phil Dawson field goal in the Second quarter.

Time I fell asleep in the stands again: Start of the Third Quarter

Time I awoke and was mobbed and rallied for the rest of the day/game: Jeff Garcia to Quincy Morgan touchdown pass in the Third Quarter.

    Hell of a game...and pre-game.

  6. 6-4 is really solid against those three teams.

    Pros:

    Starting pitching was really good.

Offense scored 19 runs in both the Houston AND Boston series.

    JRAM got going.

The rest of the AL Central sucking.  Detroit sure got quiet now that they lost 9 in a row...

    Cons:

    KarinChak getting sent down.

The void in our offense that goes by the name of Catcher.  Please just promote Bo.

  7. I get both sides.

New defense and playoffs/superbowl aspirations.  It certainly can't hurt for Myles to be there.

Now the other side of the coin.  We don't know everything that's going on behind the scenes.  Myles is a smart veteran who may already has a handle on the new D schemes and when the time comes for training camp he'll be ready.

  8. I am not a fan of Donald Trump.

With that said, there are clearly two tiers of Justice in America.

The day will come when Republicans find a way to clean house and start prosecuting Democrats in power and even a potential presidential candidate.  That same day we will also hear Democrats scream how its unfair.

This is just like Twitter/Social Media and COVID.  Democrats loved 'COVID misinformation' censorship until Elon leveled the playing field by opening up free speech and they collectively lost their mind.

  9. Surprisingly recent OPEC cuts have only had a quick spike in oil prices followed by oil prices decreasing.

WIth that said, you still have this admin releasing from the SPR.  It's at a 30+ year low and they need to replenish.  OPEC is licking its chops for that day.

I know the AL Central is weak, but the Guardians should really consider the long-term and see what they can get for Shane Bieber. He's a free agent after this season, and the Gs need a power bat in the worst way, preferably at RF or 1B.

The future of the Gs rotation is McKenzie, Quantrill, Bibee, Allen and Gavin Williams, who is at AAA. Thats not even mentioning Daniel Espino, the team's top prospect, because the kid can't stay healthy.

    Agreed.

It would align with how the Guardians operate.  I can see Ahmed being traded (hopefully his numbers improve to help with the haul) similar to how we traded Eddie Rosario a few years back.

Bieber should still command a good trade value.  His stats are down especially his K rate (to be fair its been going down each year) and his WHIP is the worst since he was a rookie.  With that said he would be a good addition for another club as he's still only 28.
