I suppose, but IMO he needs to be much better than Moore to justify that much money for such a so-so start to his career.

The Jeudy extension kind of feels like a "well if we pay him like a stud player, maybe he'll be a stud player" situation, instead of a "this is a fair market deal based on your prior production" situation.

I am not a fan of this deal because as you mentioned his previous history. Feels like a big overpay. Now if this was an incentive laden deal where he could make that much I would be all for. Hopefully he lives up to the contract.

always been a fan  of D.H . But he is the type of back that needs to get into a grove, and man when he doe's he just get's better and better as the game move's on. So can that happen with lamar taking away carries ?

Yeah this is my thinking too, he would have limited carries, with Lamar, Dobbins, and Mitchell, its hard to see him getting consistent carries which to me would limit his effectiveness.

This video does a great job too: https://twitter.com/JeffDLowe/status/1736916481097822528

I don't agree all of them are egregious, but the first three (and especially the first two) are an absolute embarrassment. Not only is it an absolute tragedy, but Garrett could get seriously hurt with the nonsense these guys are getting away with lately. It makes my blood boil man.

I like the one where the guy is on the ground trying to grab Myles leg, they don't even try to hide it, they know the refs aren't calling it.

The bears are getting hot just at the wrong time for the browns. Hopefully we get some of the oline back

Browns need to win this game. If they can win next week it will really put them in the drivers seat to make the playoffs. If the Browns hold serve at home that should get them in.

The Browns literally took a 38 year old QB off the couch to be the 4th QB to start. This season we've beaten the following teams, all of which would be in the playoffs if the season ended today:

    - Steelers

    - 49ers

    - Ravens

    - Jaguars

    - Colts

    - Bengals (who I get are on the outside but right there)

and are in the drivers seat to be a playoff team this year. Despite this, some of you clowns are still suggesting Stefanski isn't an extremely quality head coach. It's like you all forget the days of Pat Shurmer looking like he saw the face of God on the sideline every week.

The fact Kevin isn't a serious contender for COY is crazy to me.

No only is he in the running for COTY, although I think the Texans HC will get it, he has shown to be an upper tier game planner on how to attack other teams. And he has improved with things on when to go for it on 4th down etc. Dude is getting better. Compare him to the OC trash they have going on in Pittsburgh right now. They just call plays and have no idea how to attack the other teams defense etc. Stefanski has, outside of the first Ravens game, have given this team a chance to win every week.

Anyone calling for stefanski to be fired should be evaluated for head trauma.

I hope DTR matures quickly, but the lack of throwing downfield when the Steelers were pressing hard for multiple drives in a row is questionable. Lost confidence after his first go, misreading the defense, who knows.

I think Denver is a better confidence booster for the young QB, but they will be bringing in Flacco probably who may be our guy the rest of the way for the playoff push.

I think Stefanski is moving himself up in the upper echelon of coaches. I think this year has been his best year. Minus the first Ravens games, the game plans have been very good even with backups QBs. And each ones of these type of wins just build confidence. Lets hope that DTR improves every week, we do need to take deeper shots downfield to keep other teams honest. If DTR can improve every week, who knows, we might get a home playoff game and more.

Is this guy going to be better than Bell or Mike Woods?

I'm skeptical, sorry. Trading our picks has been a disaster.

Well, some of our picks have been a disaster.

In this case we just traded back about 30 spots to get Moore. I think this is a low risk move for a player with potential, speed, and low contract.

    Nope.  The problem is Haslam.

You said all the same things about Rob Chudzinski; then again about Hue Jackson; then again about Gregg Williams, then again about Freddie Kitchens, and now again about Kevin Stefanski.

For a guy that REALLY wants to find the problem - you're really working your ass off to avoid what's been right in front of you the whole time.

I watched the game in Munich today on television. Do you know what the worst part of that was?  They're going to have an NFL Team and owner that understands how to win way sooner than Hollow-dome Haslam.  That was about the only thing I was sure of today.

I blame Haslam for firing people too quickly, like the previous regime did. You have to give coaches time etc. I think Haslam is beginning to learn that but we will see. Stefanski or maybe even Haslam needs to fire Woods. With 2 weeks to prepare that was a sh!t show.

No, on THIS, I am 100% Dead on.

Simply name me one, just one of the fucktard head coaches, or players who we released that have gone on to make the Browns look bad? Who is it that we released that has gone on to success?

Haslam is NOT the problem. He is the owner. He doesn't play, call plays, draft or select players.

This is ALL, unequivocally, 100% on the shoulders of Kevin Stefanski.

If his hands are tied? It is because he lacks a cock, he lacks balls. He protects his salary by letting himself be feminized.

Haslam is not up for debate. He is not going anywhere and IF he is to become a smart, non-mettling owner, it will be by the hand of a balls-to-the-wall leader, and HC whi IS a leader.

Bill Cowher would not listen to Haslam, Depo or anyone else if it meant putting an effeminate Gen-X, spineless team like this on the field.

There IS a HC ca dilate out there who can right this ship....but it fucking ain't someone known to the masses.

Somewhere, there is a candidate with his own ethics, morals and style, maybe a small college guy, who knows how to lead men into war.

No player on this team respects Kevin Stefanski. No player has faith in him.

I know of no great leader in business, war or sports who was not a trouble maker, he'll raiser, innovator, and instigator.

Complaining about the owner is like complaining about your wife's pussy. Good like changing that.

I only have 2 issues with Stefanski. First, he needs to fire Woods. It needs to be done. He needs to signal to those players and coaches on defense that their performance has not been good enough. The other issue I have is that I would like to see some more fire on some of these flags that are ridiculous during the game. Work the refs. His offense is fine, he has made Brisset at times look like a quality starter. The offense hasn't been the problem. If the defense played every week like they didn against Cinci and the Ravens we would have about 5 or 6 wins. They have failed miserably.

  10. I think they devalue linebackers with the analytics but maybe this year will wake them up. We need to address the middle of the line. We need some DTs that can play. What we got in there now is replacement level players. Another pass rusher would be on the list too. And get rid of woods, I agree 100%, he doesn't adjust his game plan when its not working, which is alot. I think we need to be more creative on defense to create pressure when rushing 4 isn't working.

    What I 📸 of K Cade York..

In photo #3 Cade makes this 52 yarder hitting the middle of the net..

I put my phone down to watch, when York backed it up 6 yards, to kick from the spot he won the game (from the 48=58 yards)

He missed the 58 yarder in warm-ups.. His ball never drew left & just missed it to the right...

    Practice makes a perfect ending !  both had 8-10 yards to spare :o  (OH MY !  : - )

You must have took those before I got seated or I would have been in your pic ;) I was sitting 3 rows back from the rail around the 20 on the Browns side. I got seated after he did his warmups.

  12. The Browns had 2 blown coverages and then on the Panthers last drive I don't know if they got jittery or what but suddenly they were getting chunk plays. We forgot to cover their best players when it mattered most. Thanks God we drafted York. The team needs to learn how to close out these opponents. Brissette needs to be better, he left a lot of yards and points out on the field. Lets hope this improves at home this week.

I'm not from Cleveland, and I'm not a Browns fan.  I'm glad I don't have to ask myself this question because I am not sure I know the answer.

    But.....Is this all worth it?

It's probably better asked as a three part question because the whole point of aquiring Watson is to pursue a Lombardi so then -----

Is it worth if the Browns don't win a Lombardi?

Is it worth it ONLY if the Browns win a Lombardi?

Is it NOT worth it even if they DO win a Lombardi?

You dont make this move unless you think it will get you a Lombardi so that is the measure. If Watson didn't have the baggage then I don't think most people would even second guess it. So Watson better live up to expectations.

  14. I don't see how an appeal doesn't make things worse for the NFL. Their options after appealing are, they win a long protracted fight with the NFLPA. Watson plays most of not the whole season and this business stays in the news all year long, potentially well into the playoffs. Next option is they appeal and just get monetary damages upped, which would probably repiss off the people they are trying to please. They could go to court and lose with Watson playing most of the year. Again a bad look to have the same end result and have this in the news all year long. They could appeal and have no change to the initial ruling which would be a PR nightmare for them. The only way they win is if they appeal, get more games and the NFLPA doesn't sue. And what are the chances of that....less than zero.

  15. I wonder if there is any chance that that the appeal holds with the original judgement. If so that would make the NFL look worse. At least before the appeal they could say look we hand independent federal judge review the information and while we don't agree with the decision we have to respect the process. It gives them an out. If their own person upholds it, it would be huge PR problem for them. It will be curious to see who gets assigned the review.

  16. I wonder if the end result will be same number of games but some hefty fine like 10 million dollars. If this goes to court they risk DeShaun playing the whole season until it gets resolved. Add the fine, work with the NFLPA to set some standards for such incidents and move on. Whats the purpose of the independent judge if you can appeal and do whatever decision you want anyways.
