Rich beyond belief and yet throwing it away with both hands.  No excuse.

The smart ones however are set for generations.

How true. He left a lot more money on the table than the rest of us will ever see.

I have the feeling I’ve seen this movie before, except that the main character seems to have been stopped before he did serious harm, and Ford stopped making the Bronco so they couldn’t do that part of it.

Bad timing by one of the NFL biggest head cases.

Mostly a non story, though it was a knucklehead move. This will be forgotten in days. He’s strictly an amateur head case compared to AB, though. I don’t know why you seldom see weird shit from Centers or Punters, but so frequently from Wide Receivers.

I didn’t do it but I would have if I’d thought of it.

A few years back i DID try to sign up for that contest CBS Sports had, to have Coach Cowher come coach your team. It would not let me enter “Cleveland Browns” as the team. They must have got wise.....

  4. I think Lou Saban would be a good fit. He coached everywhere, average gig about 2 years. That is a bit longer than the average Browns head coaching tenure but close enough. He also was a player under Paul Brown, which is always a plus.

Lou ruined the deal by dying about ten years ago, though.

So, it's over for the Browns.

But get this: The Steelers are in with a win and a TN loss (who's playing Houston who has something to play for as far as better seeding).

Not only this, but Baltimore has already announced they are sitting Jackson and some other key players.

There is no way in hell Pitt deserves to be a playoff team this season. But nor do the Browns. At the end of the day, it matters not; Pitt will not beat ANY team in the postseason.

Seems impossible at this point that Pgh could have even a theoretical chance at the playoffs, but there you go. Their offense is so bad right now I don’t see them beating even Baltimore’s JV squad.

These are the prospects that are ranked between 10 and 20 by CBS for what that is worth.   Anyone of interest?

10 Javon Kinlaw South Carolina Sr DL 1 6-6 310
    11 A.J. Epenesa Iowa Jr EDGE 2 6-6 280
12 Henry Ruggs III Alabama Jr WR 3 6-0 190
    13 Derrick Brown Auburn Sr DL 2 6-5 318
    14 Kristian Fulton LSU Sr CB 2 6-0 200
    15 Tristan Wirfs Iowa Jr OL 2 6-5 322
    16 D'Andre Swift Georgia Jr RB 1 5-9 215
    17 Kenneth Murray Oklahoma Jr LB 1 6-2 234
    18 Tee Higgins Clemson Jr WR 4 6-4 215
19 Jedrick Wills Jr. Alabama Jr OL 3 6-5 320
    20 Yetur Gross-Matos Penn St. Jr EDGE 3 6-5 264

D’Andre Swift has a name that begins with “De” (phonetically anyway) and has an unnecessary apostrophe. I say take him if you can. He is going to be good.

  7. Gip I think his name was Butler By’note’. Unfortunately he was just a journeyman d back, and By’note’ became a mere fo’otnote’. If he had but one more unnecessary apostrophe he might have become a star.

Guys with an Islamic sounding first name and the last name from one of the early Presidents are also potentially good draft picks. Mohammed Jackson, Khalid Van Buren, Jamal Jefferson.

  8. There is only a few percent chance that the Browns get a wild card. Accept this season for what it is, the best one in some time, and a foundation for 2020. The Browns will hopefully fill in some more holes, the QB play should be one year better,  and Garrett will not be stupid and take the bait like he did this year, which caused him to be lost to his team for no one knows how long.

Go to the health food store and get this stuff called St. John’s Wort. It’s supposed to help with depression.

  9. Bills 30, Browns 14

In the NFL, you are what your record says you are. How the Browns manage to stink after drafting so much talent in a short time IDK, but they manage to do so.

Flying Disease Infested Rats, 27, Bung Holes 12

The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Balt is running away with the division in the post-Flacco era, Cin is in disarray as usual.

    Rams 30, Stillers 27

Pgh defense has gelled of late with the acquisition of Minkah Fitzpatrick and drafting of Devin Bush......just in time for their once great offense to reach its expiration date. No Big Ben, no Bell, no Brown, no chance. Enough parts remain to make it close, but no ceegar.

  10. Steelers reverted to form by not wrapping up a Miami receiver and practically helping him into the end zone. They were taken to the woodshed in the first half by the worst team in football. They did win, but it was ugly and they should have won anyway.

I will say that with the amount of talent they have lost in the last few years in various ways(Brown, Bell, James, Tuitt, Shazier, Roethlisberger), if they end up over .500 I’ll eat my hat and Tomlin is coach of the year. This would be the year to beat them, with their second and third string QBs playing. Will the Browns step up a notch or two?
