  1. Clowney is a good player but is going to command superstar money and he's always hurt. Seems like a bad investment to me.
  2. I never really understood the "mentor" backup QB thing. Just make up a position for him on the coaching staff and save the roster spot. Gilbert is out playing Stanton so far and if that's the case he should be the backup. Better, cheaper, more potential.
  3. Takitaki looks like a great special team guy that could develop into a decen rotational player. High mmeffort guy that will always push the guy in front of him. Wilson needs a little development but giving how pass driven the nfl is now I would think he should start sooner rather than later. Kirksey should be sweating bullets
  4. I think he could be a serviceable 3rd down back. He can be upgraded in that regard, but he is not a good backup RB. RBs are a dime a dozen so we should find someone before the season starts. Hell bring back Hyde as insurance policy he will probably get cut
  5. Im not going to pretend I was all over Moreland, but I thought he was a good value pick late. I was critical of the Takitaki and Redwine picks and some people got butt hurt. With how the draft played out I actually gave it a pretty good grade because if you swapped where Wilson and Takitaki were picked it looks good. I'm still not a huge fan of the Redwine pick because I thought there were better players available. (Dionte Thompson, Rodney Anderson, DeMarcus Christmas, and Jimmy Moreland) It was a mid round pick so I get gambling on athleticism. With that said I am really worried about the safety position. I think Randall is solid, Morgan is ok, but there is nothing behind them. Whitehead looked bad we have to find an upgrade.
  6. I would keep him just for kick returns. Who knows he may develop into a decent WR but we don't need him to do that right away
  7. With Beckham, Landry, Higgins he is battling for one of the last spots in the reciever room. With so many young players playing well I say package him with some picks and try and get trent William's. They need help at the position and I doubt they will get anything as good as a young promising receiver and a mid round pick
  8. We already know what we have in Smith, a decent rotation guy. Thomas is very raw/inconsistent so I would not be comfortable with him forced into snaps. We should be able to find some roster casualties before the season starts.
  9. Wilson and Greedy looked promising. Lawrence and Davis played well. I saw problems with our DE, RB, safety depth. It was a good showing all around. Jimmy Moreland had 5 tackles 3 pass defended and 2 forced fumbles do you guys remember certain people criticizing my evaluation of him because he went in the 7th? Shhh
  10. Late round picks are long shots to make the roster anyways so why not roll the dice on a kicker? It was obviously our blessing/curse last year. Cost us games but got huge fired
  11. I wonder if he related to David Veikune? That's the last time I was so dumbfounded by a browns pick
  12. That was a nice pick by Pitt. I hate they landed Dionte Johnson
  13. Ok I can get behind that. We may need to give him some rabies injections so he can attack someone in the ground game
  14. I'm kind of confused by this. We bring in a DC that likes to run zone coverage and we bring in a man corner.
  15. I'm not saying they aren't good I'm saying that it's more important to prioritize pass rush and secondary. Just like you dont need to have an all-pro OG just a guy is fine
  16. He has potential but he is a kind of soft. If we dont land Love Moreland from James Madison is my next target at CB
  17. The NFL is passing league so LBers are diminished value there is no debate. You dont need a Patrick Willis anymore. The Bill's had the #2 d according to your list and their best LBer is lorenzo Alexander
  18. Googled top defenses and NFL.com had them as the top overall. Seattle and Carolina aren't top 10 and they have the 2 best LBers in the league.
  19. Well my 2 favorite are off the board. Love, adderley, or Gardener-Johnson better make it to us
  20. The top overall defenses last year were Baltimore, New England, Chicago, New Orleans, and The rams. These are the top LBers from those teams. Mosely- good/elite Hightower- good (more of a pass rusher) Roquan Smith- above average Demario Davis- average Cory Littleton- Special teamer You dont need a great LBer to have a great defense. DLine and secondary far more valuable so like I said get LBers that do their jobs and invest in impact guys to rush the passer and cover receivers
  21. What I was saying is that off ball LBers are like interior offensive lineman. As long as they play their role you dont need a superstar. The difference between Kuechly and Shobert are obvious, yet I dont see Kuechly making the defense that much better. Compare that to Aaron Donald vs Larry Ogunjobi and the impact that has on a defense
  22. They could have stayed where they were and he could have fallen to them or they could have got better value with players like Pratt, Watson, Hodge, and a few others. Now he is kind of the ideal Pitt LBer.
  23. Strongly disagree. I love the LBers in this draft. If you are giving up future picks it better be for an impact player and LBers just aren't that valuable.
  24. Duke Johnson + 49 to the colts for either Jawaan Taylor or Byron Murphy. Get it done Dorse
