Do you trust a Liar?

Mr. T

Recommended Posts

T, you are a typical, ignorant, bitter conservative.

If you'd read more than the list of lies. You'd see, as dawgfan pointed out, many of them are shown to have not really been said.

How about this for a lie?

"Iraq has weapons of mass destruction."

That sentence put us in a war that made us completely unpopular with most of the world, increased our debt by billions, and cost thousands of Iraqi and American lives. Yet you're going to look on snopes for a list of lies that Obama didn't even say?

How about this for lies?

Look, you act like you're the slightest bit surprised when a politician lies or flip-flops. But hey, this is politics, that's what they do, this is what they went to school to do, and have trained for their entire lives. They are good at it. Obama will have flip-flopped a bunch after his term is over, but I'd like you to show me a president during our lifetimes that hasn't.

I posted this in another thread, but I think you'd be well-served to read it.

FWIW Vapor, Iraq did have WMDs.

They had an inventory cited by the UN that was to have been destroyed or turned over with documentation. They did defy inspections and refused to comply. You remember that right?

What the Duelfer report concluded was that they didn't have "large stockpiles of nuclear material at the time of the invasion."

The same report, however, stated that Saddam would have reinstated the program as soon as whatever sanctions had been put in place expired.

So whether or not you agree with taking him out, at least that much wasn't a lie.

Glad to meet you, now vanish like the vapor you are.

Why is it, that all liberals make personal attacks?

Does the truth cut like a knife?

You make a valid point Steve, and if some will take away the bias media attacking points and read this again.

Vapor, the attack on T was invalid. Snopes isn't anymore an "unbiased" site, than

facts.check.

They both are biased. The fact that they evaluated it, and their reasoning was

fairly bogus, is more to the point as I took it.

And, please, stop with the "Lie" thing.

Do we have to post, all over AGAIN, the youtube clips of a whole bunch of Dems

saying the exact same thing Bush did?

Hillary, you wouldn't believe all the Dems that also felt the exact same way about WMD's.

And, it is a fact, that semi's were seen leaving in a convoy to Syria before the invasion.

Truth is, the invasion was telegraphed, for political expediency's sake, that it is probable,

that those WMD's went to Syria, and gave the libs their cattle prod about Iraq to use against Bush

for years afterwards.

The old saying goes - "Perception is reality". So, all I keep seeing from the corrupt leftists in Congress,

and now the Obamao admin, is deliberate lies and warped projections of blame, to CREATE a perception.

But the claims to get there are bogus. Like the claim that Bush and Cheney "outed" Plame, the cia wench.

Truth is, it was never true. At all. It was Richard Holbrook, who they avoided prosecuting at all costs.

Odd, you say? Why frantically try to "Get" Bush and Cheney on a falsehood, then ignore the truth about who

really did the outing?

Think about that, Vapor. It was all about falsely creating a perception, to have the public have a misguided

perception.

Libs and many other Americans were duped. And the media did nothing to stop it, indeed, it seems most of the

media applauded.

Do you trust liars? Those liars desperately want to gain power and wealth

via those lies.

Right, everyone thought they had WMD's. Lies or (un)intelligence fed to them by CIA or whomever, point is, the federal executive branch supported it. And when the country is itching to kick some ass after 9/11, you had better believe that most everyone was quick to hop onto that bandwagon. My problem with it was that even after it was all over, Cheney still refused to admit that he went there for a bullshit reason. The public was told that Huessein POSSESSED WMD's. Which, he did not. And seven years later, if they were, in fact, moved to Syria, you'd think we or the Israelis would have found some concrete evidence of it. You know that Mossad's gotta be all over that. I bet if they had the tiniest bit of evidence of it, they'd fork it over to us in hopes that we'd hit Syria for them.

Steve, all in all, I DID agree that getting rid of Saddam was in our best interests, but our reasons for going there were bogus.

They both are biased. The fact that they evaluated it, and their reasoning was fairly bogus, is more to the point as I took it.

Hrm. I don't really know.

"Obama's 50 Lies from Snopes! And this was posted by snopes in 2008, how many more are there?"

He said nothing else. And I haven't posted on this forum much, so I may be wrong, but T, from the posts of yours that I've read, you really don't leave much up to the imagination, so I took this at face value.

Anywho, I don't see why you or cal are up in arms about this or the slightest bit surprised. I mean, were you posting a list of Bush's lies here four years ago? You guys are acting like this is some kind of brand new evil that has never been seen before. The only difference this time around is that the guy calling the shots is a Democrat.

Vapor, if you think I am partisan. Then you are wrong.

Your poster boy Obaummly and with his socialist policies will destroy everything that has made this a nation great. Believe the liar for all its worth, I see you have drank the kool-aid.

So you can continue on with your american idol fanship of obammy, and we will see right through your bs.

Oh, ok. Because socialism is evil. Sorry, McCarthy was an extremist, and while his viewpoint was great for the American persona back then, I see it as outdated today. Back then it served us best to have every facet of our lives be the polar opposite of what the commies did. Now that the Red Scare is no longer, it doesn't seem wrong to socialize some aspects of our lives, IMO. Your Kool-Aid is 60 years old, I think I'll stick with mine.

But your thought process is so convoluted you would probably see me at the opposite of the graph. You can circle me in at the conservative mark.

I've hammered on that point for years.

Of course socialism isn't inherently evil.

Neither is any form of governing including totalitarianism or fascism.

Stalin wasnt' a rat bastard because he was a communist.

But in McCarthy's day the Russkies actually were our enemies so I'd say that any sympathizers were fair game as would have been Nazis in the 40s or Al Queda in the US today.

BTW VT the reason (as I see it) for the many Obama "lies" is that he made a lot of promises in campaign mode and either never meant to or couldn't live up to the exaggerated expectations.

I'd be interested in a list of a few Bush "lies." Yes he was unpopular but what in specific did he knowingly lie about?

Bush Jr was NOT a blatant liar....... Neither is Obama they are both politicians which is closer to a PR rep/lawyer.

Obama KNEW that he could not live up to all of his rhetoric, just like Bush JR. knew he had other agenda's about Iraq.

Since Bush Jr has been out of office I can see where securing America's Oil interest is a matter of National security..... However how his handlers directed it was less than optimal to say the least.

The reality is that all of these guys once they get to the federal level are what they are and to expect the system to produce anything else is like banging your head against knives and expecting it not to cut you.

I agree with that as long as oil is the commodity that backs the dollar.

That's just reality.

And I also agree that the US couldn't have been up front about every reason to take Saddam out.

Hence the bi partisan support.

But we should be able to agree that after all the wailing and gnashing of theeth that there's been precious little change in the war policy since Obama took over....
