why cant we win Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 wow tebow is drawing a lot of intrest
WVUBrownsfan Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 wow tebow is drawing a lot of intrest maybe because its because of Holmgren walking away highly impressed?
Dawgstucknpa Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 I certainly hope we are not bad enough to have Locker within reach......unless we made a big trade up, of course.
WVUBrownsfan Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 Jake Locker in next years draft. yeah if we have the #1 overrall pick next year we have bigger needs then QB
choco Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 that really depends on how this year shakes out.
CLEVELandMILIDH Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Jake Locker in next years draft. Ricky Stanzi's better
Gips Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 If it was mangini calling the shots it would be simple...there would be no drafted qb pre-ready vets would be his choice always, but since holmgren and hecktard will be in the mix it gets more complicated being that tebow is most likely a smokescreen and i dont see us using our 1st round pick for a QB...so im going to bang my head against the wall and say unless mangini gets his way we will go after pike..
CLEVELandMILIDH Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 LOL, that's a good one man. We shall see
Bag O'Browns Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Quite surprised Tebow was the leading vote getter on all of this. Seems logical enough in terms of press being bantered around but you know this guy will go WAY higher than he should and the Browns won't be the team to do it. Or will we? I hope not.

Well, look at Holmgren's track record: In Green Bay, how do they acquire their QB? A trade with the Falcons for the rights to a young, unproven 2d rounder by the name of Brett Favre. No one knew he would be that good....except Holmgren (and Ron Wolf their GM.) And in Seattle, what does he do? He makes a trade for a younger Matt Hasselbeck, who does eventually lead that team to a SB appearance. So, his pattern has been to seek a young, unproven QB who is still a veteran with a year or 2 or 3 under his belt. Heck, he seems like the guy who may have made a trade FOR a Brady Quinn type QB. He did it with Seneca Wallace....though personally I don't really get the feeling that Holmgren sees Wallace as the next Favre or Hasselbeck...or...does he?
