So much for that fella who was bound and determined to count two picks for Davis and Jones before the compensatory picks had even been declared. I read an interesting article here that explains compensatory picks really well. Because we got more value in free agents coming in, than we got going out, we got squadoosh in compensatory picks.

being an engineer, i've seen some pretty messed up formulas.

Just the way it works. When you don't have much demand for players on your roster...or FA who were on your roster, you aren't getting many extra picks.

 

Shouldn't be surprising.
