Apparently an effort to "butch up" the US' fading reputation as a world power.

Lets hope it continues.

As long as nobody wiretaps the asshole without announcing to the sympathetic federal judge.

Then there'd be a story.

In the NYT it's have been a miniseries if you know who woulda done it.

How long has this guy been right under our nose?

If were lucky we will get a wikileak video on this guy being captured and tortured. ;)

Then we can have a bunch of these little guys running around with tiny megaphones carrying signs, yelling and screaming unfair practices.

Might be a bit of a hijack, but T, I don't see why you have to take issue with a site like wikileaks, after all the climategate scandal went through them first. Everything that comes out of it isn't done by some liberal hippie that's advocating the fall of America. These things are brought forward by people on the inside that see truth being skewed, and these people publish it, regardless of what side it supports.

But yeah, I really don't see why this is huge news. The guy's basically admitted he's a terrorist, seems like a legitimate reason to revoke the guy's citizenship, then we'd just have a cap&kill order for some guy in the middle east. I think the guy's been handling terrorist threats like a badass since he's been in office. Why do you guys disagree (serious question)?

Disagree?

I don't.

I'm saying that had W done it the left wing press would have been screaming bloody murder.

The NYT did, what, a hundred stories about wiretapping and waterboarding?

As you may recall many we know threw a fit about the climate gate leaks. (No names please )

But isn't the right-wing press all over that? How many times has Fox News made a mountain out of a molehill regarding Obama since his race for the presidency? Isn't it the same thing? I'm inclined to believe that you look at CNN and MSNBC with as much skepticism now, as I did Fox during the Bush administration. I have to admit, I don't read many papers, and don't have the slightest clue which ones are liberal and which are conservative, so I can't speak much on that subject. Pretty much everything I read or hear about I find on the internet.

VT, are you defending a terrorist?

What will you say if Anwar al-Awlaki were able to get his hands on enough material to put together and explode a dirty bomb in another attack?

He needs to be exterminated or apprehended.

All over what?

I'll grant you that Fox News is right of center.

Mostly because most of the opinion shows are right.

I don't think the saturday business marathon is particularly slanted but Beck and Hannity? Sure. Why not.

Of course I see CNN as the counter. Not so much for the pundits but theur straight news slants more left than Fox's IMO.

When I say the left wing media I mean the vst majority of the newspapers and network news who I believe downplay stories that make the Dems look bad and vice versa.

I don't consider Rush or MSNBC to be the mainstream media.

Not that either one is necessarily bullshit but that you know frem whence <G> the slant's coming.
