He has proven himself to be a fool. It is truly stunning that Bloomberg’s initial reaction to the car bomb in Times Square was to blame tea party activists, not Islamic terrorists. In Bloomberg’s own words: Bloomberg later told CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric that the suspect behind the bombing attempt could be a domestic terrorist angry at the government who acted alone. “If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that. Homegrown, or maybe a mentally deranged person, or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything,” he said. “There is no evidence here of a conspiracy, there is no evidence that it’s tied into anything else. It looks like an amateurish job done by at least one person,” he told Couric. Let’s get this straight. New York has seen two terrorist attacks by Muslims — the original World Trade Center bombing and the September 11th attacks. New York has never seen an attack by tea party activists. But Michael Bloomberg’s initial gut reaction was that it the attempted bomber was probably “somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something.” It is stunning that the Mayor of New York City is more comfortable casting blame on Americans upset with government than with the most likely culprit — radical Islamists who, in fact, appear to actually be behind the bombing. Report from Rush today, (I'm taking a break from planting 100 strawberry plants and 12 blackberry bushes and making fudge)... that the NY Times first headline on the subject was referring to an SUV owner. Yep. But, as some in the media painted this terrorist as a poor family man who was losing his home due to Bush's mishandling of the economy... it turns out that this terrorist is a naturalized American citizen from PAKISTAN who was NOT living with his family - his family is back in PAKISTAN, and the authorities are questioning his roommates. Yes, he IS a MUSLIM, and he IS a TERRORIST. Oh, and btw, you won't see this posted by any lib media... this terrorist was a REGISTERED DEMOCRAT. Which brings to mind the libs on this forum that brought up putting down tea partiers for their "verbage" that could inspire "violence" ... sounds like every Chris Mathews, Robert Gibbs, Pelosi, Reid, Emmanuel, Frank, and all those lefties in Congress and the ENTIRE OBAMAO REGIME had better stop with the "verbage" that, per their own "logic" DIRECTLY INSPIRED THIS TERRORIST.
