Robotron, aka The Fool on the Hill, claimed that this was an impossible test because it only asked questions of complete minutiae concerning the Steelers. Well, you judge for yourself how obscure this one was. OH, by the way, on the original, a Browns fan, DumbAssWhiteGuy knew 5 answers as did Steelerfan Silverback. And SuperSteeler showed how basic this quiz was by getting 9 right. On the other hand, FreakofSteel revealed himself as a cheater. The fact is, there is really only 1 question on here that is beyond the pale because it is from a questionable source. A good Steeler fan should get a fair share of these. Let's see if Robot can do it without cheating:

I could entertain myself and make a similar quiz with Browns related questions but you too would need to use google. Totally Retarded quiz. Congratulations. lol

Sorry, but is why you are The Fool on the Hill. Any half ass Steeler fan should get at least 4, 5, 6 of these questions and they don't have to be a "Steeler historian". Silverback did. Are you saying you are more half ass than he is? No one claims you should know all 13. It is not designed for you to get them all. Like I said, one of your boys got 9, and that is good.

Like I said, I took half of them off the top of my head. You are telling me that I, a Browns fan, know far more about your team than you do?

Again, for full disclosure, the questions I knew the answers off the top of my head were #1, #3, #4, #5, #8, #10, and #12.

 

You come up with a Browns quiz and I will guarantee you I wouldn't cheat on it. It could be hard, and I might miss many, even most, but I wouldn't cheat. There is another board where we do a lot of trivia (usually not sports even) and I don't cheat.

I know Rooney played semi pro football (but not sure for who), he played pro baseball for the the Greys and he was also an Olympic quality boxer....He was going to tryout for the 1920 Olympics (and from what I've heard he would have easily made the team), but declined becuase he would make more money playing football and baseball.... A family legend says my great grandfather boxed and trained with Rooney. My grandfather was 2 years older, but grew up in the same neighborhood as Rooney....I didn't answer your question, but I think I did enough BS'in for a bonus point

9. Not entirely sure....but I know we merged with both the Cardinals and Eagles during WWII due to player and money shortages. I believe Rooney was the one who reached out to both of these teams with the purposal. So I don't think I'm entirely wrong to say Rooney gets some credit.

 

10. I beleive his 1st winning season was the first year he made the playoffs...So 3?

And this is the question I said I believe came from a bogus source. It was on wikipedia that a guy from "Lewis Center, Ohio" was the original owner (name lost when I lost my sheet)

Good info. I give you that bonus point. The guy that was recruiting Rooney was Knute Rockne of Notre Dame, but Rooney decided to stay home at Pitt I believe.

It was Bert Bell, owner of the Eagles who convinced a guy named Thompson to resell his majority share back to Rooney. Thompson had purchased the majority share ownership from Rooney during that "Card-Pitt/Steagle era", and had made noises about moving the Steelers to Boston after the Redskins moved from there to DC.

Last fall when I originally posted the question, Rooney only owned about 30% of the team (still the largest single percentage). There may have been some change since then with the ownership situation.
