prior to the Iraq debacle Blackwater was a small company with yearly revenue of under 2 million.... since it has now escalated to over 200 million per year. Eric prince a known neo conservative with major ties to the evangelical right and also those who were documented to having the Iraq war agenda that surrounded Bush before he even was elected.

 

Its not a coincidence and neither is KBR/Halliburton stock with was a sub 10.00 stock to now over 40.00 from war profiteering and its connections with the VP who was its CEO and completely against any Iraq occupation when serving for BUsh Sr.

 

mz the pussy some of the ex U.S. soldiers are off the reservation as with any group of people you have your idiots and loons. Remember Blackwater and other private contracting groups Hire ex military from multiple countries, African nations are cheaper than say French or British.

 

There are some really decent guys who get paid for skills sets they have. Do I think we need private contractors to do the same things that taxpayers train citizens to do? NO and having them in the same combat arena as our soldiers is demoralizing because of the monetary incentive factor. These contractors are paid 4 to 10 times what our soldiers get paid to do the exact same job without any accontability.

 

The companies are well known for cutting corners in order to increase profit margin so a lot of these private contractors are not as well provided for logistically or materially as regular military.
