The Gipper
You need to listen....some good guitar picking and fiddle playing in this one....Gipper....you can't tell me you don't like this at all if you listen. Oh....did I mention steel and slide guitar??? Some good licks. This is a country song all the way. Well, see, it was originally a rockabilly song for sure. I preferred the direction The Who took with it rather than this direction. Jackson did fine with it if you like that direction. It is such a good song that countrifying it so much didn't even hurt it. Kinda like Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". It was a rockabilly tune and Dwight Yoakum or somebody like that covered it and did OK with it. Same deal here.
