The team placed Dave Zastudil on injured reserve Tuesday, meaning that Reggie Hodges will be the team's punter and holder for 2010. Hodges isn't actually that new, as he replaced Zastudil late last season when nine-year veteran tore his patella tendon. Zastudil struggled to recover from the injury, but Browns coach Eric Mangini said he wouldn't be surprised to see him back with the Browns in 2011. We had the #1 rushing attack in the nation and Z would ALWAYS hose the opposing team with a field-position-destroying, high-as-hell punt. He averaged over 45 yards or something sick like that. It was crushing to have him go on and win a Super Bowl with the ShitBirds, but there it is. We'll miss you Z! Hope to see you back next year! I didn't go to any games the year that I was there getting my masters degree. Sorry I missed him. He is one of the best in the NFL and he will be missed this year. Hodges is not nearly as good. He isn't going to launch 60 yarders, but he is pretty good directionally so he can pin returners against one of the sidelines which simplifies coverage. After being tackled by Steelers linebacker Joey Porter following a punt that left Gardocki briefly motionless (Porter would be penalized for roughing the punter), Gardocki flipped the middle finger twice to Steelers head coach Bill Cowher. The incident, caught on live television, resulted in a $5,000 fine for Gardocki[1]. Pricelessssss stuff. Gardocki is forty and hasn't played for 3 years. But he was better then Hodges is now.
