Mark O
Is it going to take a player blowing his knee out to force the Pisspuke organization to get rid of that shitty turf in the ketchup stadium?? New England complained to the league after the Sunday night game and apparently the Raiders have already complained. According to Jason LaConfora the league is monitoring the field closely this morning. This happens every year and as he also reported it's going to get worse before it gets better this season. Can't wait for the next mud bowl game there when the field is coming up in chunks. I thought the hillbillys in pisspuke knew how to grow grass. Harry Buffalo
I find it ridiculous that all NFL stadiums don't use artificial turf yet. The shit is safer for players and after the first few years it ends up saving you money and a shit ton of time since you don't need to have a ground crew that actually got a college education to take care of it. Ohio State has the best Agriculture program in the nation and even their professors and students couldn't figure out how to keep the field alive a few years ago and they have to replace the grass every two weeks until they bought artificial turf. Yet another Steeler related thread started by a Browns fan when most of the Steeler fans have been quiet here. I've been pretty quiet at least. We play on the same turf last I checked and the Steelers don't seem to have a problem. Jeff Reed blamed it but his foot didn't give way he just missed the FG. As I'm sure you're aware he's out a job. Clearly it's the turf that lost the game for the Raiders. You mouth breathers just won't quit. I guess you have to find some way to displace your depression. Vagitron
They spent all they're cash paying the refs off so now they cant afford new turf. Guess you didn't get a chance to watch today's game against the Raiders or any other game since the "new" rule where countless BS calls are going against the Steelers. It was something like 15 penalties today for more total yards than the entire Raider offense. I'd wager at least 6 of those were complete and total bullsh.it. Whine, whine, whine, cry, cry, cry. It's what you and your mouth breathing brethren do best.

A lot of players prefer natural grass. It's easy to cry about the turf to make up for obvious deficiencies else where.

It's not the turf that lost the game for the Raiders. It's the fact that the Raiders suck dick. But if you're going to say that the turf in Pittsburgh is playable, you're a damned fool. Even Pittsburgh's second-coming-of-Jesus James Harrison had a problem with the turf when a giant chunk flew out and hit him in the eye, causing him to sit out a couple plays. Honestly, the turf there is almost worse than the old Cleveland Muni field.
Speedyd900rr
Why do these steeler fans come to a Browns board and tell us we talk about the steelers to much? They're on a Browns board all freakin day reading what we write about the Browns and have the nerve to talk smack when we make one post about the steelers. They must be retarted not to see the irony in that.

Mark O
It's an NFL story chachi....do we really need to go back and look at the film from the Dolphins/Steelers game awhile back to see how embarrassing the Steelers turf situation is? It was talked about all morning on NFL network that the NFL is clearly looking into the situation, how long before the NFL steps in and postpones a game because the field is unplayable?? It might happen this year with the college and high school games to be played there, not to mention the January 1st outdoor hockey game.

F that. There are PLENTY of good grass fields in the NFL and I thoroughly enjoy watching the game on them more than turf. If their field wasn't used for every friggin' game in town (the morons use it for college AND high school), then the turf would be fine. Yes, in theory it's a great idea to utilize the stadium as much as possible, but not at the risk of the breadwinners. Keep the grass unless you're a bunch of cheap-ass hillbillies that want to squeeze every last cent out of your stadium that you can. Then put in turf. calfoxwc
The squeelers keep their field that way, to slow down wr's and rb's enough for cheapshot harrison to get a good aim with his helmet at opposing players' helmets. Simple as cheapshot city does.
