If Rob Ryan Gets a HC Job......

i want to play against this loser twice per year, and the Cincy job is the only one that likely will be open in our conference. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Honestly, if it wasn't for his pedigree, who would hire this guy? How do you get 6 turnovers in one game and still manage to give up nearly 400 yards? That's almost impossible to do.

i'm a Mangini fan. But if they retain this blowhard, then the gloves come off. i want a DC that: (1) Doesn't rely on funny lines to maintain his popularity, and (2) Doesn't rely on turnovers to give the ball back to his offense.

i wish we could fire him now, but that would be the wrong move to make. Waiting for Cincy (or unfortunately for some other team) after the season would be the right move.

its called being on the field the whole day, with a number of old players who are tired. go home.

You must be out of your mind. This could be the best d that we've had in years. We need a little help in the secondary and for the most part until today, our run defense has been good. We need an o coordinator that plays to win and not to lose. Holmgren will fix that problem during the off-season. Six turnovers and 400 yards is due to the fact that our offense never moved the ball in the second half. The defense did great and any defense that is left on the field that long will break down.

You're just a plain out moron. 6 takeaways is far from fail by anyones standards except yours. I'm surprised you can even spell fail after a post that stupid.

Huh? To pin this loss on the defense is just plain stupid..

EDIT: I get it now. Yeah, my sentence could have been read two different ways. I meant for the OP to pin this one on the defense, much fail. If you read it another way, it could have sounded like I said "I'm pinning this one on the defense."

If ryan gets the HC job in cincy they would rape us twice annually, just like everything else in this rebuild we are not quite there with the components this defense needs to play at the highest level of man coverage and ultimate blitz packages yet...

All the injuries and lack of quality depth isnt helping either..

the op must have forgotten that not only did the browns d get ints and fumbles, but they also scored on d. i guess that's not good enough for him, though.

The UFO Defense has been figured out. Does Rob Ryan have anything else to counter with? Appears to me that he is getting beat at his own game and the defensive movement is creating the same holes that get exploited.

Oh ... and how about putting your foot up the next players ass who goes for the strip and allows a huge gain?

man i can't tell you how much watching a player do that pisses me off. i forget what coach started teaching that 'tactic' but he should have been fired on the spot. sure it's great when it works but to see these 'would be tacklers' running next to a player who's flying down the field and just pawing at the ball instead of wrapping the guy up is disturbing to say the least.

Bigger boots, with spurs, should be strapped on and used for missed tackles at the end of the game when a win is on the line.

One stat that matters is 3rd down defensive success and the Browns are #9 in the NFL. Not too shabby.
