DieHardBrownsFan
US Gives Vietnam $1M for Missing Troops November 19, 2010 Associated Press HANOI, Vietnam -- The United States is providing $1 million to help authorities in Vietnam locate and identify the remains of Vietnamese soldiers missing in action during the war. The U.S. Embassy says in a Friday statement the money will assist Vietnamese officials searching for, identifying and documenting its troops who went missing. An estimated 300,000 Vietnamese soldiers are still unaccounted for since the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. The agreement was reached Friday in Hanoi between Vietnam's labor ministry and USAID. Speedyd900rr
what about all the U.S soldiers that never made it back? It's been decades since that happened and how much you want to be that money wont even be used to look for anyones remains.
Paxton
If we'd finished the job, none of this would be happening.
Alo
Wow. 300,000 is a pretty large number. I wonder how much effort the government put into addressing the issue before the US agreed to provide aid.
ballpeen
A million isn't that much, so I doubt the money will be misappropriated. I guess my take is while conducting the search, possibly a few more GI's are found and sent home.
