Dane Sanzenbacher is a good #2/slot receiver that can be picked up in the 4th/5th round. I think what is happening is that Ohio States former #1 WR are not working out in the NFL but the #2's are. Anthony Gonzalez is good, he just has injury problems, which is a problems and Brian Hartline has shown to be a great #2.slot receive at Miami even though he wasn't anything fantastic at Ohio State.

like I said...this offseason we are going to trade Hillis to SF for Troy Smith and Ted Ginn. We can sign Maurice Clarett and Antonio Pittman. And of course draft Sanzenbacher.

 

OMG! our offense will be

 

QB - Troy Smith

RB - Maurice Clarett & Antonio Pittman

WR - Robiskie, Ginn, & Sanzenbacher

 

SUPER BOWL!!!!!

 

just because they are all from OSU it automatically means they are they best in the world!

I do think we need a Vet WR in Free Agency, not a great WR, but a Vet WR that can be a good 3-4 at worst who can teach our current and future WR the way of the game. Then we need to draft a future #1 WR who can take middle routes and beet the shit out of LB's, but also burn most CB's. I think Green is this WR. When we get to the second roudn we need to look at drafting another WR just in case, and that WR in my opinion is Sanzenbacher who at worst is a good slot option.

you gotta be kidding me.....michigan has better WRs in the NFL right now and better WRs on their team

 

OSU is not known for WRs........around the rest of the league, OSU is known for big, slow, and strong players.....not exactly the type of qualities you are looking for in a WR

 

OSU is better suited at putting out defensive ends and LBs than WRs and QBs.......heck, even the safeties and corners are better known than their WRs

it is your program? have you attended a single class there? just checking because 90% of Suckeyes, sorry Buckeyes fans can't even spell the word class let alone take a class there. So like I always say around here, I'll sit and watch MY SCHOOL lose every game, but at least I am a part of the school. Not just some guy who went to his nearest walmart and saw a red jersey on sale and decided to claim to be a lifelong fan.

 

I'll be the first to admit our football team had an awful year.

 

But you can't say we are irrelevant in every sport. Nice try, we were ranked #1 in soccer all season and were national runner up last year. Basketball teams are good too, so shut it. Just because one team was bad, doesn't mean they all are.

 

Now, I am just sick and tired of you people saying that we NEED to draft every guy from Ohio State. Remember the guy named Robiskie? we drafted him. I told you people he was terrible, but everyone seemed to think just because he was from Ohio State he was the greatest receiver to ever walk on the face of the earth. Now you want to draft another one? hahahaha no thanks! Just accept the fact that there are good players outside of OSU and if you are a real Browns fan you'd care about the orange and brown more than the red and grey.

Agreed- Sanzenbacher is 5'11" and weighs 180 pounds soaking wet. Good hands, but he's probably going to get abused by NFL cornerbacks. Unless he can run a 4.3 (which I doubt) pass. Guys like him are a dime a dozen in the NFL. Jamir Posey @ 3" taller and 35 pounds heavier is a FAR better pro prospect.

 

We need a legit #1, not another Brian Robiski. (who has Posey's size, but not speed)

 

Start thinking AJ Green or Julio Jones my friends.

Bowling Green is ranked #1 in the nation in Rugby, but it doesn't mean shit because this is America.

 

Also no one is saying Sans is the answer. No one is saying skip on AJ for him, I am just saying he can be our #2 our slot receiver if he falls in later rounds. OSU has produced many good players and just because we draft a bust you want to turn away from the talent that comes out in the future. Well guess what, other people from other schools flop too, there is not secret school that only pushes out great NFL players. You can't just turn on a school because of some bad NFL players.

 

FYI if you have ever watched an OSU game you would understand that Sans is way better than Pousey.

Sans is a #3 Brian Brennan type at best in the NFL. And I'm as much of a OSU homer as anyone. And I hope by later rounds you mean like about the 6th. You don't go shopping for #2 wideouts there, IMHO. Unless you once in a decade get hit by lightning- like the Saints did with Marquis Colston.

 

Big difference between good in college and NFL good.

#1 in collegiate soccer? Dude why are these players not playing professional like the rest of the world. Because they suck. #1 in collegiate soccer is like saying you are the smartest one in a tard class.
