playerjdd
Hey guys lets be realistic. We are playing for more wins than last year which is one more. Im guessing that could come this week against the Bills.

ATENEARS
I heard that Mangini is 9-7 in his last 16 games. I haven't done the math, but that feels about right. The Browns talk shows here were still filled with chatter about Mangini possibly being replaced, but EVERY single person who called in was in favor of keeping Mangini. Holmgren needs to back the guy now and allow this thing to continue to roll. Add in that we played one of the hardest schedules, and that we've been in almost every game with a play here or there away from winning much more and I think Browns fans can be optimistic without feeling like such a homer (as in years past). I don't think we have any real legit chance at making the play-offs, but would still celebrate an 8-8 finish knocking out either Pitt or Baltimore (I prefer Pitt, again). Things are starting to just feel right. I agree that there's little likelihood that the Browns would actually still make the playoffs but it's still fun to see them on the list of "in the hunt." I happen to think it would be especially fun for the Browns to make the playoffs in a year when they were snubbed by the tv gods. Realistically I think that would take a miracle. Bodogjoe
Well, there will probably be a 7-9 team in the NFC that make playoffs.

USFBrown
This is too much fun: http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine According to my calculations on this thing, we go to the playoffs... LOL. We win out and Baltimore loses all but one (not to us) and the dream comes true.
The Gipper
Of course, this is probably simply a recognition of the fact that the Browns have not been mathematically eliminated. I guess until then you keep pushing.
manbearpig
Wait I thought we were supposed to be dead last and the worst team in the NFL and that the Bungles were going to dominate our division this year? Even that yearofthetiger guy said so!

We win out and Baltimore loses all but one (not to us) and the dream comes true. haha i messed with that playoff calculator too and found that it is actually theoretically possible that we make it at 8-8.. we need like 20 games to go our way for that to happen though haha..
