The blame game

Seriously, I have to say the team HAS looked better. But I have noticed a lot of finger pointing towards EM while some of these guys get a free pass. I personally think that we have come along way from 2 years ago and if everthing remains status quo as far as staff is concerned I will be pumped in 2011. However I have noticed the Mangini haters coming out full force here. It kind of shocks me because we have improved and I think the most bonehead mistakes this season have been made by the FO IMO. Now I don't want to sound like I am disgusted with anyone......Rome wasn't built in a day, but again in the recent blame game that has been going on some people seem to avoid their responsibility in this and I don't understand why. Now MH was a hall of fame coach and I have the upmost respect for that, but he is unproven as team president as much as Mangini is as a coach as far as I'm concerned. Signing JD to that contract and handing him the starting job was a huge mistake which Mangini seems to be taking the brunt of the blame for. Sure you could say he should of pulled him in Buffalo, but the obvious question should be why is he even here! Now drafting Colt(which I attribute to MH) pretty much made up for that, but Colt wasn't able to play and JD was MH's guy. I don't see how EM takes more blame than MH there, I really don't.

 

And then there is TH who had a great draft btw, but left the wr position untouched after seeing how awful they were last year. This seems to be almost as big a problem as any on this team. Unless you expect Mangini to lace up I have no idea how he takes the blame here. Kokinis (sp?) lost his job in part by drafting these guys so again how is this on Mangini?

 

I'm not trying to stir up the shit because I like all these guys, I just don't get how this all falls on Mangini's head. If you want to play the blame game everyone gets the finger pointed at them for something. If you expected anything more than improvement this year then you are delusional. And you CLEARLY got improvement. Now next year the stakes jump much higher for everyone. Playoff contention has to be expected. Not necessarily a birth, but seeing us in the hunt late December is a must or heads shall roll. I just hope Mangini gets the chance next year and gets the job done. I'm so tired of not knowing who will be around next year. That in itself makes us look like losers!

 

I'm not swinging from EM's nuts, I just truly think he deserves it. I hope everyone can see what is happening and what success could happen in the near future. Things are looking up boys......sit back and let it happen.

Yeah, for some people the grass is always greener. Regardless how the Browns finish out I still feel Mangini deserves another year.

Mangini only has till the end of next season and then his contract is up. He more then likely will be here next season because of this, if he is Im calling playoffs right now.
