shepwrite
Yeah, he's Mark Isham's son. Jack's #23. He had 9 tackles and an interception. I can't believe we lost two games by one point each... on 2 point conversions. This time we hit the right goal post on the winning field goal with 4 seconds remaining. Last time we missed a field goal in the first overtime... and lost on a 2 point conversion in the second. Felt like the Browns of the '80s! Let down year. We were 14-0 last year... but split with both Oaks and Bonny this year.

HR said the game was crazy great... that Isham engineered an amazing drive after the 2 point conversion... says that Isham reminds him of Kellen Moore... damn! I'm sorry I missed it! Do you know yet where Jack will be playing next year?
shepwrite
Not yet. Schools showing the most interest (including personal calls) are Cal Poly, Northern Arizona, Occidental, Portland State, UC-Davis, and now Georgetown, who really dig him. Lots of D-3s but he isn't interested. All the local Jucos, especially College of the Canyons, who say they'll transition him to safety for D-1. He isn't 100 percent sure he wants to play yet. It certainly isn't the time to ask him after 28 games in two years and near year-round football. He's worn out, as are all the kids. Aside from Spruce (WR going to Colorado), we have a lot of undersized prospects, including Isham (5'10"), who is probably headed for New Mexico State. Our next three top prospects are OLBs Jack and Max Winsberg, both about 5'11.5" and 205. They're good size for safety but there are guys that size already playing safety... so it's tough. Jack just can't put on more than about 212 max. He has some stomach issues that make it almost impossible for him to take in a lot of food. Oh, and the third is our RB Tavier Mowry, who is like 5'9" and 185. He's not a powerful guy... fits our spread very well. We had a perfect storm of high school talents, but not a ton of D-1 types based on size.

HR says the Winsberg's are total studs. There's only one Winsberg -- Max. Jack is Jack Shepherd. Max and Jack are bookends, basically equals in just about every way. Jack's faster, Max is a little bigger. They took turns as leading tacklers. I think Max finished 140-130, but Jack dropped into coverage a lot the last five or six games. Halfway through the season, Jack was ahead. I can't think of much either is bad at... except being 6'2" and 225.
