The Browns need a Quarterback. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, COlt this and COlt That, Colt can't be judged because of this, that and the other thing................

He looked like Charlie Frye.

Holmgren said somewhere I believe that it all starts with the QB.

I believe we still need one.

BUmmer!

So what you want Mallett or Locker because Luck sure as hell aint gonna be there and i cant see ethier one of the others being any better than McCoy

Scott Tolzein. 6th round. Deal with it.

Luck will obviously be gone.

Beyond that, yesterday's game should point out what a complete pathetic mess the Browns defensive front 7 is in. As bad as the need for a WR may be, that is one position. Our complete DL and LB corps is far below average talent wise. The Browns need a defensive presence in that front 7 the way that TJ Ward and Haden may be a presence in the DB.

In that light I would be looking for Fairly, Dareus or Clayborn.

Given the many areas of need we have, I look for the Holmgren/Heckert braintrust to take the best available player. To me, this off season is the FIRST since the Brown's return that we will have solid football people, including THEIR Coaching choices, running the show. It will be interesting as the F/O & Coaching staff should agree on how the offense & defense should be run. Imagine that, EVERYONE on the same page! Let's hope that that alone contributes to the continuity many of us want.

I went fairly.

I doubt Green is there and I don't think Jones has the value for the 6th selection.

Fairley is a monster who would pay defensive dividends day one.

I hope we get AJ Green...maybe Cincy will mess up their pick. If not, Jones please.

Where's a few OL for the right side of our offense? Colt's crucifixion yesterday is evident that we're not done on the O Line just yet.

I agree.....I don't have all the skinny on the prospects at this point, but i am not sure there is a RT candidate good enough to select that high.

I agree that addressing needs is important, but you do that in FA. In the draft, if you start reaching very much, especially when you aren't a very good team, you are going to hurt your long term chances.

Free agency is a good source for team improvement. I do believe there will be a number of talented players coming in the league this next season. I think it wise to address the line in the early rounds like we've done in recent years past. I think that the better our line is...the more productive our offense will be. You can have a blazing fast WR with great hands but if the QB doesn't have time to throw all that WR is doing is getting exercise doing wind sprints.

I really think Cameron Heyward will slip into the second round or a top tier D lineman maybe even Clayborn will be a late first, first 2nd round selection i mean you see it every year Rey Mualaga or however you spell his name slipped and so did Clay Matthews a lil bit there will be one of those 6 in the second when we pick and we should grab them. We Grab Green if hes available or Fairley then take Broyles or Baldwin in the second ethier way that would work....THen get a decent RT in F/A we need to upgrade in F/A big this year

IMO, the best possible use of that draft choice would be if we could trade it for two lower first round picks. First you build the offensive and defensive lines, then assuming a decent QB is in place you add playmakers. Clearly we are thin on the DL and linebackers, and the right side of the OL is still a problem. While this team could use a dynamic WR that will not make the Browns a playoff team. Besides, rookie wide outs rarely have large impact their first season.

I'm the only one that went with the cornerback? Imagine have two shut-down corners ... instant pass rush, would completely change how teams can game-plan us. Shelly Brown is getting old, Wright had a horrible season and is a free agent ... we another corner, I don't mind if we address it early again.

Zombo

I wouldnt be opposed, just dont think Peterson will be there. Prince prolly will and I would be okay with that but I would rather have AJ Green

I wouldn't be against this either. I think WR is the more pressing need but if we got a guy in FA that could fill the #1 WR role adequately I wouldn't be opposed to taking another corner.

I wouldnt hate the idea of having Patrick Peterson ethier but i hardly doubt he will be there when we pick and we dont need to draft Prince that bad to make him are selection, gotta go WR,and pass rush or get a nice big DT in the middle where Rogers used to be

After the Sugar Bowl, no chance Heyward slips to the second. I see him going mid first round like Graham did last year. Now if we could trade down, pick up Heyward and Julio Jones, I'd be ecstatic. But that's draft fantasy, not real world.

And speaking of OSU- Arkansas, forget Mallet, assuming he comes out. Kid is DA II- with slightly better decision making. A big arm and ideal size does not an NFL quarterback make- he's deficient in virtually every other area. Like mobility, quick release, ability to check down, look off defenders, locks on to his primary target- you get the picture.

Mallet certainly has the arm, but in our TV room, the DA comparison was way earlier than his last int. His inability

to make quick short throws on the move was a killer in that game.

Whoever the Browns pick at six, he has to be a dominant difference-maker. If they can find

a number 1 wr in the second? It would be a dominant pass rusher. Or, ...

This is cool. We can now start arguing about the draft for 4 months ! Yay ! :)

Well, you could be right. Mallet could be DA II. Or he could be BRII.

On the other hand, if DA had played in Peetown and if BR played here DA may have been BR and BR may have been DA.

What Mallet seems to have that DA didn't have, but which BR does have is that ability to move in the pocket, to find receivers and shake off tacklers.
