Nw220
I know i know he used to coach for the Steelers and i really dont see it being as a fit but i was watching highlights of Peyton Hillis and someone commented that he reminded them alot of John Riggins so i watched some highlights of him as well see some similarity but not excatly the same but then i saw this guy throw a block and was like who the hell was that and it was no other than Russ Grimm which leads me to ask would anyone one want him here in Cleveland, i personally dont think Holmgerm has him on his list or anything like that but whats your thoughts on him also heard he was the #1 candiate for the Carolina Job.... Btw Holmgrem has a sitdown Interview on Thursday with Pat Shurmur never really heard of the guy?? Only thing i read is that he and Heckert have the same agent. The Gipper
I don't think that Grimm is a "West Coast Offense" guy, and everything I am hearing says that Holmgren is going to go for one of his WCO proteges. I don't think Grimm fits that category, does he?
Squintz
I always liked Grimm, but there is obviously something wrong that we aren't aware of because the guy is always passed over and most times not even interviewed. Heck, if he were that good the stoolers wouldn't have let him go.

Nw220
Russ Grimm Mike Marlarky Marty Morninweig This is the wish list.. Jeez.. We are in the s**t Yeah i know right seriously we cant find any better candiates out there, this may have been the wrong time to let mangaini go simply because there isnt anyone out there, plus bet your ass that if the next hire dosent pan out its not only on them but on Holmgrems job as well
BrownB499
Russ Grimm Mike Marlarky Marty Morninweig This is the wish list.. Jeez.. We are in the s**t Please try to keep in mind people that interviewing 1 candidate...then hiring him hasn't worked out real well for us. In fact when you fail as miserably as we have at hiring head coaches or fielding a competitive team, maybe bringing in a few outside opinions may actually lead to a perspective or two we've not really considered yet. I trust Heckert (yes we actually have a GM in place before we hire a head coach) I trust Holmgren. Also remember that top teams also don't want their coordinators interviewing whilst still in the playoffs
Gips
Rex ryan was also passed over numerous times, i like grimm nearly as much as i like rob ryan on defense but i dont think they are what we are looking for... Under holmgren and heckert we will now have a unified system without lone wolves applying their own system under the FOs system and that will be a good thing... Now we have to hope that randy learns this system and formula and applies it when mike holmgren retires, assuming its a success of course..
