LNC
Some answers to parts not finished yet Gipper. Question 2: I saw this one time years ago. It's Princeton, with like 25 or 26 national championships since 1869. Yale was right behind them with 18. Of course the first forty some years, the only schools that were even considered were the Ivy League schools, no other colleges need apply, thank you. Question 4: The other possible rematch is Pats-Packers Question 6: 49'ers Question 7: WR and RB Question 8: Warfield, Edwards, Slaughter, Alexander, Holden, Brown. Do TE's count? Those are all the pure wide outs I can think of, but Ozzie was taken in the 1st round behind Matthews. Question 9: Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, Miami, Ohio St, AND Nebraska. Michigan had most of their wins in the pre-poll era.

But, check on Warfield, Edwards, Alexander and Holden. Web Slaughter was a 2d round choice. I am not even sure who you mean by "Brown". The only "Browns" taken by the Browns in the first round were Jim and Courtney. Question 9: Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, Miami, Ohio St, AND Nebraska. The Gipper
sloburn, the correct answers you gave that had not previously been given are Cal and Michigan St. in Q#3. OK, here is a recap of questions not yet fully answered: Q#3 There are still 3 schools not yet named that have won both an NCAA Basketball Tournament and a football National title. Q #8 There are still 4 names of WRs that were picked in the first round of the draft by the Browns. Hint: you are going to have to go back a ways for most of these remaining answers. Q#10 We still need the smallest stadium amongst the schools in the 6 BCS Automatic Qualifier conferences....and the smallest stadium in the overall FBS division of college football. The hint here should be obvious. The latter answer is not one of the BCS conference schools.
The Gipper
Here is a set of trivia for you, mainly on postseason and college: This will get lost in the "New Coach" buzz, so I will finish it off: 1. Auburn has won the National Championship. When was the last time they had won a national championship? 1957 is correct 2. Per the College Football Data Warehouse which college has won the most national championships since 1869? Princeton is correct with 26 titles, Yale was second. These were all won mainly pre-1920. 3. Nine (9) schools have won both a National Championship in football and an NCAA Basketball Tournament. Name as many as you can. The ones you got were Ohio St., Michigan, Michigan St., Florida, Syracuse, and Cal. The others that were missed were Stanford, Maryland and UCLA. Had Oregon won the other night they would have joined this list. 4. With the 8 teams that are left in the NFL playoffs, what are the only remaining possible Super Bowl rematches that could occur? (i.e which teams have already met in a SB?) Bears vs. Patriots Packers vs. Patriots Seahawks vs. Steelers 5. Of the remaining 8 teams in the NFL playoffs, which team has gone the longest without a title? The Atlanta Falcons have gone since 1966, their year of origin without a title. Next is the Jets since 1968, then the Seahawks since their year of origin in 1976. 6. Of the 17 Finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which team did more of them play for at any time of their careers? The 49ers had 4 finalists: Deion Sanders, Richard Dent, Chris Doleman, and Charles Haley all play for them at some point. 7. Which position(s) did more of the 17 PFHOF finalists play? Any of the following would have been acceptable: RB with Jerome Bettis, Marshall Faulk, and Curtis Martin WR with Chris Carter, Tim Brown, and Andre Reed DE with Charles Haley, Richard Dent, and Chris Doleman You may have even said Linebacker with Chris Hanburger, Les Richter and Charles Haley. Haley played a hybrid LB/DE position. 8. Many have said the Browns should pick a Wide Receiver with the first round draft pick this coming year. Since 1950 the Browns have selected 8 Wide Receivers in the first round of the draft. Name as many of the 8 as you can. 2005 Braylon Edwards 1994 Derrick Alexander 1979 Willis Adams 1973 Steve Holden 1964 Paul Warfield 1961 Bobby Carpenter 1959 Rich Kreitling 1956 Preston Carpenter As you can tell, except for one obvious exception the Browns track record of drafting WRs in the first round is NOT very stellar. Edwards may prove eventually to have a good career, but it won't be with the Browns. Alexander went off to the Ravens. Adams and Holden were pretty much busts. Warfield is the exception being a Hall of Famer. The three early guys had spotty careers at best. 9. Since the "Poll Era" of selecting a College Football National Champion began in 1936 7 schools have won 5 or more titles. Name the 7 schools. Alabama and Notre Dame with 8. Oklahoma and USC with 7. Nebraska, Ohio St. and Miami, Fla. with 5 each. 10. Three parter: A. Of the 119 FBS level schools, which one plays in the largest stadium? Michigan with 109,901 capacity B. Of the 6 BCS AQ conferences (ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, Pac 10) which school in those conferences plays in the smallest stadium. Wake Forest with 31,500. Second smallest among the 6 is fellow ACC and tobacco road neighbor Duke with 33,941 C. Of the 119 FBS schools which one plays in the smallest stadium (hint: not the same as . Idaho. the "Kibbie Dome" has only a capacity of 16,000. It is really nothing more than a large arena.

LNC
Gipper,. The Brown I was thinking of was Ron Brown from the 80's. He was drafted then traded right away to the Rams. I was certain he was drafted in the first round. I checked, he was our first pick, but second round. Oops....
