Chicopee John
First of all, let me say I like the choice of Schumer - A LOT! Fresh face, not another retread from another failure from another team. If you believe in Holmgren, then you cannot second-guess every move he makes. Regardless of whether or not you believe Mangini 'deserved' another year, the Football Czar felt otherwise. That's good enough for me. Now for the question............. Does anybody see the possibility of bringing in Kolb as QB? Does he / can he operate in a WCO? I still am not convinced Holmgren is in love with McCoy, although he might be. Just a thought on Kolb given the deep Holmgren and Eagles' roots this organization is becoming.
Harry Buffalo
I'm sure we look at it, but ultimately we don't go forward with it. We have Colt who alot of people think is going to be a fantastic WCO QB and the Eagles would just want too much for Kolb (would want a 1st with a mid round pick or a 2nd with a 3rd and a 5thish). I think if it turns out that Colt is a bust we will still be in good shape with Wallace who has done great stepping in to start in the WCO while in Seattle. ballpeen
I don't think we are looking to give away picks since a 4-3 will require a few defensive picks being made.....high picks to boot. So even if we don't like Colt, which I don't think is the case, we won't get Kolb unless the Eagles just decide to give him to us.
BrownB499
Colts going to be fine with this offense...no need for Kolb
longhorn
I really think they will bring in an older vet for the backup. I agree with others that Philly will want a #1 pick and it will take big bucks or Kolb who, quite frankly, wasn't all that consistent this year. He was great at times, not so great at others. Some are gonna puke, but I could see McNabb as a good fit for backup.

I think we draft a QB late and the new QB competes with Brown to be the teams #3.
totheCRIBB
I wouldn't want Wallace here as a backup/mentor for Colt. Compare the quotes from him and Delhomme last season, and Wallace seems to come off as a me first guy who was sore about not being starter, as opposed to Delhomme who realised he's not the number 1 QB anymore, and seemed to accept his role in tutoring Colt. I do not think Holmgren is in love with anyone as a QB. Not sure he is willing to invest in another QB (Kolb) when we have so many weaknesses on both sides especially skill players. I am not convinced we are going WCO either. I so far have liked a lot Holmgren Heckert personnel moves. Lets hope we get enough impact players at skill positions and disruptive postions to make a real difference. And it is not OL guys

A career backup who was mad about not being the starter??? No he wasn't mad that he wasn't starting, he was mad that they were starting Delhomme. HUGE difference. Besides I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Delhomme a QB coach job.
Nw220
Yeah i mean if we can keep Wallace for some money if fine with him backing up Colt but Kolb is just gonna be to much to go after the Eagles wont let him off without a First and probaly 3rd, and a team with so many areas of needs such as the Browns really cant afford to take a gamble on something like that in all honesty...Hes played well but hes still not a sure thing id be a different story if Aaron Rodgers was up on the trade block then yeah give them 2 first rounds picks and whatever else, because in all reality there are only so many Franchise Qbs and they are hard to come by....I do like Colt and think you give him some talent around him and he may be good enough to take us to the next level we gotta stick with him and give him some talent so he cant at least have a chance to suceed
calfoxwc
Lets hope we get enough impact players at skill positions and disruptive postions to make a real difference. And it is not OL guys Rich ****************************** Yo, Richie baby, the oline is the engine of the offense. If St. Claire and Womack graded out near the worst in the NFL... the ROG and ROT positions would make a great impact on the "Impact" players to be able to excel. In my dumb mock draft, I picked a guy who -could- step in at LT in case Joe Thomas comes down with malaria or somethin, to be an excellent RT. That's third round. Note - Tom Brady was sacked 5 times, and hurried several times yesterday. The Patriots oline was no match for the Jets front seven. When the Jets beat the squeelers to a pulp, and go to the superbowl, you can thank Mangini. He drafted a LT and a Center first off, in his first draft. Mangold leads that offensive liine today.
