Guest mz.
Says it's possible via ESPN. "I personally feel like I haven't done enough at Ohio State, the things I wanted to accomplish here, to move on to the next level," the junior running back said Thursday. Whatevs. I know it'll get all of your OSU panties in a bunch, but I think Moreno will be the better pro.

I'll be more than shocked if he doesn't go pro, he has a lot of people here in Akron waiting on his support. For him to risk injury would be shocking to me. This is more than likely a ploy to make himself look better as a good teammate and guy to the scouts. I will say, I crapped the bed like DA in a big game when Jenkins came back last year, that was money he was gone.
Guest mz.
My only guess is that he'd want another shot at the Rose Bowl? Doesn't make much sense to me, either. It isn't like his draft stock could rise much higher...
Squintz
No way I want Beanie on the Browns. I love him at OSU and he'll be a solid pro - as long as he's healthy, which is a HUGE concern in the pros. We don't need a star for 8 games a year. We need stars that play all year. But, at least no more debate about drafting Beanie with our first pick.
darubes
I am a HUGE Buckeye supporter and would love to have Wells back. The problem that I have with Wells is that every time I hear the name Beanie Wells the first word that pops into my mind is "soft". The Browns have enought soft players. Don't add to them by drafting Wells.
nickers
Yeah no Beanie for the Browns...I just dont like his speed...Or lack of it...
bigred
He has missed 4 games out of 40. Get over the hurt factor. AP was hurt in college more and last 2 years in the pros have been impressive. Injury prone means he misses a lot of games year. Get it right before you post. Do your research. Riffer X
He is a special back, especially given his size. He sure as hell ain't slow Nickers.
JC
I concur, Shep. "Soft"..."Lack of speed"? Who in the hell are you guys watching? Beanie is an elite RB. Anyway, he has something like 9 siblings...I don't see him coming back next year and passing up on a huge pay day. Also, I would love to see him in a Brown's uniform, however, not at the number 5 pick.
darubes
Again, you guys are sure as hell watching a different back than I am. I think he's special. I think he's Fred Taylor, hopefully without the injuries. Quarterbacks should play five years if they'd let them. Running backs should play one, if they'd let them. I never said he wasn't a "special" back. He certainly is. There are few backs even in the NFL with his combination of size and speed. The mocks have him going for 10 to 15 in the draft. If he was THAT special he should go higher. Apparently there are some questions. It's not just the injuries that bother me. If you remember last year he tweaked his ankle early and Tressel had to motivate him to play throught pain, that there is a difference between pain and injury. An elite back does not have to be told that. Of course you can make the arguement that he is still very young and will mature and that is a legitimate arguement. Here's hoping he returns to OSU but I don't think that is going to happen.
LCDawgFan13
I just have to ask...What is it that you are seeing that says Beanie is "Soft"? To me, soft means that he is afraid of contact and doesn't hit the holes with authority. Beanie is exactly the opposite. When has he ever tried to avoid contact? There isn't a back in college football that hits the holes any harder. He sheds tackles and uses a killer stiff arm along with simply running people over. And he plays through his injuries! playing with a foot/toe/ankle injury is not easy, especially for a running back. I personally would love to have Beanie in Cleveland! But, I would also love to see him stay at OSU for his senior year and work with Pryor for an entire season. Those two could battle it out for the Heisman while leading the Buckeyes to the BCS Championship game. I, for one, would love to see that. Either way, the Browns need defense in the 1st round and then look toward Shonne Green in the second...If he is still there! That kid is a beast! NW Ohio Brownie
Says it's possible via ESPN. Whatevs. I know it'll get all of your OSU panties in a bunch, but I think Moreno will be the better pro. mz the pussy, I am an OSU fan and I couldn't agree more about Moreno. He has a little bit of Peterson, and a little bit of Ronnie Brown. He will be an excellent pass catcher in the NFL, too, unlike Beanie. That being said, I love to imagine Beanie in the brown and orange wearing #28 and salting away a fourth-quarter December victory by continually pounding away behind Thomas and Steinbach. He would be perfect for that scenario here, but we need some defense folks. Also, Beanie is going pro after the Fiesta Bowl. Mark it down.
YtownBrownsBacker
Guys Beanie never said he is coming back............................... He said he hasn't made a decision yet and there is a possibility that he could come back. Tressell has advised him that it might be in his best interest to go pro. Personally, when the time comes, I believe he will declare for the draft.

Guest Masters
Wells is lot better than Shonn Greene, for the record. Greene is a big back with decent speed who will be a good pro. He doesn't earn Fred Taylor comparisons, at least not from me. Wells does. Again, whoever called him soft is watching a different ballgame. His stiff arm is brutal and he runs over people... until he turns on the 4.45 speed. It's crazy. He's the whole package. I don't think he's as fast as Peterson... but he probably won't be the league's worst fumbler, either. On that note... how did Deangelo Williams get ZERO votes for MVP? 1,550 yards, 5.5 yards a carry, 18 TDs, 0 fumbles. That's a winning running back. To the Bennie soft comment, I'll add the following: How many guys that are soft play with a metal plate in their shoe and hurdle guys? None. Bennie ain't soft. I will say foot/ankle problems since day one are a bit of a concern. On Williams not getting MVP vote, it is hard to believe he didn't get any votes. Of course when you play like Manning has this season, it is hard to steal votes
lemosley01
This is actually perfect for us. When we are drafting in the number 32 spot in 2010, we won't be overspending on a running back.
