BrownsKidd
Not that Golic's opinion really matters, or that we would consider him and "insider". Just heard him this morning on WNIR. They were talking about Magini and the discussion of the new GM came up. Golic said that he was talking with Bernie about being the GM and Bernie didn't say no, but said that he wants to be involved with the XO's, positioning, etc. Golic than said, well that sounds like a GM to me... Golic said that Bernie is very smart and football savy and would make a great GM. Don't think it will happen. But you never know.
PlaygroundLegend
Bernie turned the Gladiators from Zeros to Heroes, If he can do that with the Gladiators in one year, I think he can do the browns some good.

Pumpkin Eater
At least he would care about the organization like few others could.
BrownsKidd
At least he would care about the organization like few others could. That's a great point. But maybe that is something that you don't even touch though. That relationship. You know what I mean. It's like having that one special girl, that you really like, you are best friends with, you hang out with, party with. Both of you have thought what would it would mean to take the relationship a step further, but you know if it didn't work out, it would never be the same... So you don't. You keep the relationship as is. I would be a supporter. But would be very protective of Bernie.

PlaygroundLegend
Bernie isnt the most professional guy, thats why Lerner doesnt seriously consider him for a ranking position, but he does respect Kosars knowledge, Kosar is on Kerners board of consulatants

Kosarfan
Apparently several others don't feel the same way. Look at the thread titled: "Mangini the rat article will not get HC job anywhere, lack of trust by owners and coaches " dated Jan. 6. Some real colorful 'Berine can't do squats' in there. Personally I'd like to see him in a role with the team.

Northshore
I wonder if a OC that was drunk or high couldn't design a better game plan than last seasons OC.....
OconRecon
We all love Bernie, but as far as his involvement with the Browns, he'll remain at the Jim "we luv ya, but stay out of the way, but feel free to hang around" Brown level. WVBrownsfan
If Bernie put his mind to it I'm sure he could be a very successful GM, I just don't think he wants that right now though.
