THE BROWNS BOARD

Who has the most trade value?

In a business like manner we look to get the most out of what we have.

In a Browns manner, who would garner the most in trade value?

Pros and cons to said such trade?

I'm not proposing to sell, sell, sell but realistically if there is a extra pick out there this draft who has some serious demand?

Does Cribbs have any suitors?

The players with the best trade value on this team are Kellen Winslow and Derek Anderson, you might have some team offer you a mid round draft choice for Kam Wimbley

I would make Brady Quinn available for trade if Mark Sanchez decides to come out and is available when we draft at #5, I believe Sanchez will be a franchise quarterback and something special like a Cutler/Rivers or better, he reminds me of a young Dan Marino. I know most Browns fans will think I am crazy but Sanchez will be better than people can dream Quinn will be

From the business end:

Quinn we could get us a first round pick and maybe a 5th/6th/7th to boot

DA puts some money back on the cap

Winslow does the same

BE we shouldnt renegotiate his contract

From a fan view:

Quinn stays

Get rid of edwards

Try to keep DA

Try to keep winslow

Thats it? Cribbs would net us a few picks at the least.

I think cribbs is too valuable to consider trading.

He doesnt cost much, and he's game changing.

A lot of teams came after Quinn last year and were told he's untouchable. In a thin QB draft, we could get a first round pick... but it doesn't make sense to the Browns at all. You don't trade one first round quarterback for another when both are total mysteries at this point. At least the Browns know about Quinn's character, work ethic, intelligence, and professionalism firsthand.

The rumor mill is that Anderson and Winslow will be gone.

Agreed about Anderson and Winslow. If we we sure he was the long term answer at TE, we wouldn't have drafted Rucker. Ghoolie may have been onto something KWs knee may be degenerating fast.

In this draft, Savage trading our third round pick in 20\20 hindsight was a colosal blunder.

Ghoolie is definitely on something....

Quinn and Cribbs aren't going anywhere. Mangini likes a game manager for a QB, big strong armed guys who turn the ball over don't do much for him. He also loves gaget plays and will use the flash package more then RAC did. So the best bets are Anderson but, his contract is a hinderence. He's a potential big cap hit if he stays past march. We would have the highest paid backup QB in the league.

Winslow wants a new contract and we don't have the cap room for a new contract. He could be hard to get fair value for because of his knees and shoulder. He might not pass a physical for other teams. If I could get a second rounder for him, I'd do it. Him and Edwards are going to clash real early with Mangini. TE is our best position of depth.

Wimbley might just bring a decent draft pick, but we would have to sign someone in FA to offset his loss. Wimbley might be attractive to 4-3 teams because he can put on a few pounds and be more effective as a DE then as a OLB.

Other then that if Mangini decides to bring Washington here then Harrison could be moved for a middle round pick.
