Kosar_For_President
The popular pick for the Cleveland Browns at No. 4 is Alabama running back Trent Richardson. But what if he's not there? ESPN's Sal Paolantonio is hearing rumblings that the New York Jets might trade up to No. 3, one spot ahead of the Browns, to grab Richardson. Also, according to ESPN, NewYork's Rich Cimini, Richardson said the Jets called him Sunday to verify correct contact info just in case they trade up for him. This would be a costly move up from No. 16 for the Jets, although it won't be as drastic as the Atlanta Falcons jumping up 21 spots last year. The odds are probably against the Jets making such a move, but you can't discount it because the Jets have moved up in the past. This would be another setback for the Browns, who also lost out on the chance to draft quarterback Robert Griffin III. Some would say the Browns' next option is wide receiver Justin Blackmon or offensive tackle Matt Kalil, but I wouldn't rule out LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne. Basing it on best player and not need, Claiborne is the better pick. Blackmon, though, would address a bigger need at wide receiver. If the Jets do steal Richardson from Cleveland, the best move the Browns could make is trade back. With Richardson off the board, there's not an offensive player who warrants a top-five pick and can fill a need for Cleveland. Kalil is a good prospect, but teams don't take right tackles that high. The Browns' game plan should be to fall back and see if they can draft Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd.
BrownRebel
I don't think trich will be there, but I give the jets a 0% chance to be the team. Bucs or rams.

Kosar_For_President
Just a hypathetical Jets take Trent at 3. Would you trade the pick for 2 #1's and a couple #2's. Something like that. And for all the trade down haters, this is just for fun, keep your panties on.
Sheepdog
Not worried about the Jets trading up, that means Minnesota would lose the people they can get by trading with TB or St Louis or hopefully by staying where they are.
BendMeOver
I don't think the Vikings want to fall that far, so the cost for NY would likely be high. My guess is the Vikings want to move back to the no #8 spot, but it depends on what NY offers for Richardson.

Except that corner IS almost as big a need as WR is for this team imo. Sheldon Brown's breath ain't makin' it. And figure this: if its a passing league...what better to have than 2 shutdown corners like Haden and Claiborne. Dixon and Minniefield all over again. Yes, the team has numerous other needs, but CB is still a necessity. If the Jets do steal Richardson from Cleveland, the best move the Browns could make is trade back. Harry Buffalo
I don't think the Bucs will trade up because as some analysts have pointed out they really don't have the ammo to trade up, they would have to give up their 2nd pick which is something they really can't afford to do. Same for the Jets.
Mark O
The Rams are the team to watch as well. They have the #6 and a boatload of picks. They could dump Jackson and move up and take Richardson.

Thaak
If Kalil is still on the board, expect a Buffalo/Browns trade and the Browns pick up a #1 next year and the Bills 2nd rounder this year. Buffalo takes Kalil and the Browns take Floyd, Barron, or Gilmore.

A Ward and Barron pairing could be interesting. It's funny that you mention Barron because last night I was gonna post an interview of both Trent and Mark in NY. I was gonna say that if Barron fell to 22 that that'd be a good first round... Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jF7jN-OPhE I know that we need offense but Heckert said that if there were 5 really good defensive players available we're not going pass on them just to go offense... thenew23
If someone moves up to "steal" Richardson, we'll be drafting Blackmon. End of story. And, will anybody be that upset?? Getting the #1 player at possibly our #1 position of need works for me.
miktoxic
Can The Jets Steal Richardson? No. Not unless they do a mike ditka ricky williams trade. Ryan is on the hot seat big time. he has to do something besides doing the tebow experiment to solidify the team. shonn green is not the answer. i personally don't think they can pull it off unless the vikes see another LT in that range where they will land.
