hoorta Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Richardson @ #4 would be a B, giving up picks to get him = epic fail. Weeden @ #22, no one else was going to touch him till the second round- another fail, especially with DeCastro and Reif still on the board. overall grade for day 1 D- so pissed right now, may become Steeler fan and give up season tickets. IF Richardson = Jim Brown, AND Weeden = Roger Staubach, THEN I'll change my mind.
The Gipper Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Ask us in 3 years. Only then can we give a proper grade.
runyon27 Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 I did A and C, C because I think we could have gotten him a little bit later, thats my only issue with grabbing him is when we did. We now have a QB who can stretch the field, that makes TR better and TR will make Weeden better too because we all know teams are going to stack the box on us right away so being able to throw down field will be important. McCoy couldn't do that unfortunately.
VaporTrail Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 We could not afford to lose out on anymore studs. We started out with 13 picks, we still have 8, a starting QB, and a starting RB. We gave up a fourth, fifth, and seventh to move up one slot for Richardson, these are shit-tier picks. I give us an A. We still have at least a pick in each of those rounds. We will likely be trading McCoy, so expect us to get another late round pick. Weeden was, by no means, guaranteed to be there at 37. Given the amount of trading, we needed to make a move to get the only top tier quarterback left in the draft. The dude is better than Tannehill, and I am soooo happy we didn't move up to get him. I give us a B, here. Jonathan Martin and Stephen Hill are still on the board. I wouldn't be surprised if we traded up for either.

I can't wait til 7:00 Really can't wait until opening day even though we are starting two rookies in the backfield we are a much better football team already. I'm interested to see how we address WR and RT and we gotta get Juaron some boys too. Excited to be a Browns fan right now. Zombo
Tour2ma Posted April 27, 2012 Author Report Posted April 27, 2012 Ask us in 3 years. Only then can we give a proper grade. Will do as the emphasis will shift to player performance, but the question is just as valid today. Today the emphasis is on perceived FO performance.
Harry Buffalo Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Gave an A for Richardson and C for Weeden. Weeden would be a solid A or B with his production but his age drops him. Hoping for a Kurt Warner type career for him. Play at a high level and till your 42 and the pick makes great sense. If not then fuck me.

That would be better than anything we've had since coming back in the league.
