  1. 1. Would you be in favor of new uniforms + logo'd helmet

  2. 2. Would you be in favor of changing the team name?

  3. 3. Are you a Browns fan or a Cleveland fan?

    • I'm a Browns fan. I'd root for the Browns no matter which city they played for.
    • I'm a Cleveland fan. I'd root for Cleveland's team no matter what their name was.

With Haslam set to take over ownership many have speculated he may possibly make some major changes to the team from a marketing standpoint.

Now let's be honest unless you are a Browns fan chances are no one is rocking Browns gear because Brown and Orange are not the greatest of color combos.

For me personally I would love to see a revamp of the unis, to something of a dark bronze on the shoulder pads to white jerseys with dark brown almost black letters and outlining.

Just something really bad ass, with the Browns Dawg on the helmet.

The passing of Modell also got me thinking, we are named after Paul Brown, who as you all know was canned by Modell and then went on to found the Bengals.

Then Modell moves the team to Baltimore in 1995.

Now this is my personal opinion - others may choose to look at it differently and I respect that, but to me the Ravens are the former Browns and this team we have is like some kind of bodysnatcher.

We are an expansion franchise wearing the deceased colors and using the name of our former home team, these Browns have been an abomination.

So is this team named the Browns cursed? Are we angering the football gods calling ourselves the team that left us in 1995? Is it a good idea to keep the name of the man fired in 1963?

Would we be better of letting go of the past and starting anew ?

Your ideas almost universally suck.

Win and all that superficial bullshit won't matter.

i was going to post a thread saying 'PLEASE, NO ONE REPLY TO THIS THREAD' but i see temptation got the best of us.

dude these new uniform threads are just stoopid. sure there might be some tweaks here and there and we might wear a different color jersey here and there but what we have now is what we will always have.

get used to it.

I never said I want us to change the name of the team, although at this point I'm not sure if I'd be 100% opposed to it. The football mecca of Ohio and Cleveland is bigger than the Browns.

Just throwing something out there for discussion that isn't some lame ass survey or trivia thread.

I wouldn't be so sure that it's entirely unlikely that Haslam won't change the uniforms.

Ask yourself what do Browns fans envision what Cleveland football should be.

Blue collar football, strong offensive line, stout defense, running game, smashmouth style duking it out with Shittsburgh every year for the division title.

Sounds familiar huh? Sorry folks the real Browns are wearing fuckin purple now and playing in shitty ass Baltimore.

Richardson will make the Orange in our helmets shine like the dawning of a new day and Rekindle the magic of our past... just watch what happens next. This IS Cleveland!!!

Quite frankly if anything held a curse it was the Lerner name because of the fact that he was the one that financed Modell's move to Baltimore just so he could own a football team so bad. There is no curse only bad decisions. From the top down. I had a really strong feeling that having Haslam come in legitimately will be the start of good things to come. It's just a feeling but if the Brown's are cursed than Jimmy is the antidote :) It will do wonders for this team to have an owner that communes with his fanbase and does what he can to bring money to the Brown's instead of just trying to have the cheapest roster in the league.

As far as the polls go, nice try but this fanbase bleeds Brown and Orange. I live in South Fla and even in the offseason i still pimp my colors on Sunday (Daily really cause I have a watch and wallet combo).

it unny how people get so mad over changing the uniforms...Why not?? keep the Brown and Orange and update it!!! we are not living in the 60s or 70s or 80s or 90s.....Hell if we were I would not be paying almost 4 bucks for gas!!!!! Everything gets upgraded. Please stop telling about our history blah blah blah....Almost every team in the NFL has upgraded but the Browns...

Rams

Bucs

Seahawks

Pats

even Steelers

Benguls

Bills

thats just some off the top of my head...There is nothing wrong with adding a Alt Color..I would really like to see them wear something like Clemson has.

I've been in support of changing or tweaking the uni's for a looooong time. What is encouraging is the vote count isn't all that bad, showing more and more that others wouldn't mind a change too.

I'm pumped to have Haslam, and looking forward to a progressive thinking ownership.

Cleveland fans are unfortunately much like the city - stodgy, stubborn and out of touch with many things.

I really don't get why so many are so against a little change.

History? The Greeks had a glorious history. The British had a glorious history. Where are they now? The once mighty empires have crumbled. One is broke while the other is a shadow of its former self. The USA does not have such a long history in comparison. Who is the powerhouse in the latest century?

History is a reference to who you were not an indicator of who you will become.

The Cleveland Browns named after Paul Brown has moved. The Soul(Paul Brown) moved to Cincinnati and became the Bengals. The Body(The Team/People) left to Baltimore leaving the obituary page in Cleveland. What came back was a sheep in dogs clothing. They have inherited the history that belongs to somebody else but they are now part of our Citys family. And they are us.

Will anyone have a problem if it was the NY Giants who moved here and won two superbowls as the Cleveland Giants? I bet we wont have any trouble with a winner if they won instead of supporting a team struggling to have a winning record. So, I dont see any problem with what the name of the team is.

On Madden at least, Cleveland has Nike White Alternates for this upcoming season and I like them a lot. The are primarily the same except the brown numbers appear a tad lighter with an orange drop shadow. Also included are brown socks with just two orange stripes. Very clean the only problem is that I cannot find if they are really going to be used.

I'd say your viewpoint is skewed. Tampa's unis are the ONLY NFL team makeover I've seen I thought was a definite improvement. And my point of reference starts in 1960. OK, the Steelers unis of the 40s and Decatur Staley's (who became the Chicago Bears) sucked- But we're talking leather helmet days there. Incidentally- I think the Denver Donkeys new rags are hideous.

This ain't a fashion show- it's football. To an extent, every team has been attacked by the fashion police already. Gotta have "darker" hues on the home unis. The Browns official color is "seal" brown. Hate to tell you the current tint isn't seal brown. Let's just take it to it's logical conclusion and have every team wear badass black at home, like the Raiders. (funny, Raiders stuff really appeals to gangs) The Packers and Colts unis have been essentially unchanged like forever. Winning will shut the fashion police up- as it did for those two teams. Wow, green and yellow- or sky blue are SO fashionable. NOT!!! So if you want cool unis go root for the Oregon Yucks. And say a prayer for the slave labor Nike uses in Sri Lanka or Indonesia.

I love when people say you must be young because you want change. Let me guess you still have a pager because you like old things. There is nothing wrong with change at ALL. I am not saying change the colors or even the helmet. How about add a color or change the shadewof the color.

Yes the NFL is about MONEY just like everything else!!! So if its about money you market towards people who buy jerseys and hats. Who buys these things the 15-30 yrs olds!!!!

As for Vick not defending him just showing facts someone said what has he done, and I proved he has done a shit tone more than any QB we have had in 20 yrs...

First off, you are double fucking dumbass wrong about the "Soul" and The Body. We fans are the Soul and the City of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio is The Body.

That history doesn't belong to any other motherfuckers on earth than us.

So get that straight in your brain...or employ Mr. Colts invention on it.
