1) Probably the Spurs? They are a consistent winner and go about things the right way by being loyal to their players and developing great, young talent to help out their aging stars.

 

2) Bummed. Suicide is certainly an uncomfortable situation to talk about and I feel sorry for his friends and family. He was truly a generational talent. It's sad to see someone who brought so much joy in such personal pain, but it is what it is. Nothing to do about it now..

 

3) Still have never been, but I'm hopefully seeing The Black Keys and Cage the Elephant in Columbus in a few weeks.

 

4) I think he meant to scare the shit out of the kid by fishtailing and throwing dirt on him but royally fucked up, but the kid shouldn't have been running out onto the track like that. I don't think any criminal charges will happen because I guarantee Tony can afford way better lawyers than Ward's family can.

 

5) Excited for the future, but I say that every year so....

The Dallas Stars ... I would move them out of that cowtown to Cleveland and rename them the Cleveland Barons.

Yes, I think he gunned it, which caused the car to clip the guy. He didn't clip him on purpose, but he is culpable for recklessness. No charges ... too hard to prove. But he will lose all of his endorsements and never be the same on the circuit ... might as well retire.

Playoff class defensive team, if the offensive line stays healthy they will grow into a good offense before the season is over.

3 only because I wanted to go to the Agora, I went to see a band I wasn't familiar with. The Clash. None since have ever come close to that experience. I believe that was in the Winter of 79.

 

4 I don't think Stewart intended anything. You don't expect to see drivers that far down on the track. Just an opinion, he could well have been trying to mess with the guy.

 

5 the receiving corp concerns me. Obviously I'm somewhat optimistic being pre season, but even with Gordon I'm not sure how the receivers as a whole are.

I was going to say any of the Canadian hockey team because of the enthusiam of that country for that sport. But now that I have seen Zombo's answer, he is absofuckinglutely right. I would NOT move a Canadian team here. It was good in my opinion that the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg. The Stars would be an appropriate candidate for relocation. Or Phoenix Coyotes, or the Florida Panthers and move them.(BK used to be a part owner)

Anger. Completely pissed off that a guy this talented and loved would do this to himself. I am seething mad about it.

no and no. In the world of civil culpability the kid would probably be declared to be 95% responsible for what happened. Plus nothing to my mind comes close to criminality.

I think it is possible that they may have the best talent in the division.....and yet continue to fail. Unfortunatly it seems to be ingrained into me to think pessimistically, because whenever I think they can and should succeed, they fail.

I hope that this new regime....GM, Coach, QBs, Owner etc. can change all that. But why in my gut do I think they won't? Probably because we have been through this total reboot so many times recently you never think it will end.

Art Modell may be in hell.....but we all have been in purgatory for so long we never think we will get out.

1. Seahawks. I'm a PNW guy and Seattle is an amazing city. Coupled with the turnaround of the program and the energy that fan base has, it's a good time to be a Hawk.

 

2. First emotion was shock. Most celebrity deaths don't do much for me. Paul Walker, Whitney Houston, even Michael Jackson.....sorry it just didn't affect me. This one, Robin Williams, hit me right in the feels. Immediately watched Good Will Hunting when I heard the news. A true loss.

What I was saying to discount was like a local band playing a high school gig. The first rock "concert" I probably attended was at our HS when a local band named The Black Rose played.....but they never became a recording act. (another band from the UK by that same name did later on)

Though it is my understanding that a couple of them may have gone on to play on some known acts, that band never did.

 

WSS may need to fill me in on members of that band.

1) Depends on if the necessary funds are there to operate the team as you see fit. If so the Thunder for sure. If not, the Yankees, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, basically any team valued in the top 5 on the Forbes list so I can sell it, buy the Thunder and do what I gotta do.

i'm of the opionion that if you want to kill yourself....don't do it at home. Jump off a bridge, drive your car off a cliff, whatever. those who have the misfortune of finding your deadass in varying states of decompisition have to deal with what is often PTSD. the mind is delicate and most have a hard time processing such a traumatic image. i speak from experience having spent some time as a firefighter/medic in a busy station of a large metro fire department. I didn't think rw was all the entertaining anyhow. i've taken shits taller than him...didn't know he was so short.

Motor sports is inherently dangerous. The young kid made a poor decison that cost him his live. Nothing criminal about this horrible accident.

Young, needing leaders who have won in the league. again, starting out without solid qb leader. Without some quality wins in the first half of season, historically', the team begins circling the drain around week ten. culture of winning has been nonexistent since who knows when.
