"CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Browns owner Jimmy Haslam nixed a Josh Gordon-to-49ers trade last season.

The front office, led by CEO Joe Banner, wanted to deal Gordon to the 49ers for a second-round pick in addition to "other players," while coach Rob Chudzinski and his staff wanted to hold onto Gordon. Haslam was the tiebreaker. It means nothing now, but we found it notable and interesting nonetheless. Of course, neither Banner nor Chudzinski are no longer employed by Haslam."

I dunno....a couple more draft picks might now have been too bad. I know a lot of people were itching for the Browns to trade Gordon last year and they were right. No team will ever make that mistake again. Next time a team picks up a 2 strike guy it'll be for league min. Nobody is investing in a player with that hanging over their head.
