Is there anyone the Donkeys aren't signing or, at the very least, linked to signing?

The Denver Broncos are busy reconstructing the team with a wild first day in free agency.

The team is in the final stages of signing safety Renaldo Hill from Miami and receiver Jabar Gaffney from New England. The contracts are not done yet, but there aren't expected to be any hang-ups in finalizing the deals.

The San Francisco Chronicle has reported that the team has agreed to terms with Philadelphia safety Brian Dawkins and that a press conference will be held Saturday. However, a source close to the situation said no press conference has been set. Dawkins could be headed to Denver but the deal is not done yet.

Still, it is clear that the Broncos are working hard at the beginning of the Josh McDaniels era. The team has already signed running backs Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington and long-snapper Lonie Paxton. The team is also planning to visit with Cleveland linebacker Andra Davis who would fit in the team's new 3-4 system.

Via here.

Wow, a Yale-educated head coach. Didn't we just have a "Yale educated President"???? :D

What we just had was a president who went to Yale, but that's not the same thing as saying "Yale educated."

:P

Friendly advice, don't start new threads covering topics that are being updated feverishly already.

well everyone can put there updates in here instead of searching everywhere for them

You don't have to search, they're all on the front page here.

The only concerns have been.... Winslow, Andre Davis, and Braylon possibly being shopped. If anything else happens you can guarantee that it will be posted here before its "News".

Vonnie Holliday was released by the Dolphins.

He's 33 but is coming off a solid year (46 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 3 TFL's). He played RE in Miami's 3-4, which is Robaire Smith's spot.

Considering Robaire is coming an Achilles injury and the 3-4 DE class is weak this year, it may be wise to sign Holliday as a short-term option.

And he won't come to Cleveland; he'll go to a contender like New England or a team with coaches he has a strong connection to, like DC Jim Bates in Tampa.
