THE BROWNS BOARD

All Time NFL Team from your favorite College

The Gipper

Recommended Posts

I mentioned it in the other thread....but lets give you the opportunity to do it here......Give us your "All Michigan" NFL team. 22 positions: 1 QB/RB/TE/2WRs/2OTs/2OGs/1OC/1 Wildcard. Plus 4 DBs/4LBs/4DL. plus K/KR (you can do punter if you got one)

Lets see what you come up with. I think I know which QB you will choose.

for War: You do the same thing for TAMU as Woody is doing for Michigan. Your all time team. You must choose a full 24 man roster....Let's see what you come up with. But I suggest you have Robert Jackson at one of your OG spots! :)

Oh man, I feel so special.

I just want to thank everyone that helped me get this far.

The rational people. Thank you for being the minority. If there were too many of you, there'd be less of a reason to post.

The political board. Thank you to the posters there that always have something to say, regardless of what that is.

Thanks to the Aggie fans. While some fellow browns fans on here may not like each other, your emergence gave us a common enemy. Your Johnny dick sucking was something we could all rally against.

And thanks to Gipper for giving me this opportunity. If you didn't know so little about Michigan and college related endeavors in general, I would have never had the opportunity to hone my craft in response to your BS.

QB: Tom Brady

Everything Else: Charles Woodson.

Seriously though, I'll do this later when I get home.

What I know and suspect is that greater than 50% of whomever you choose for your all Michigan team...will be from Ohio.

Everything Else: Charles Woodson. (see....like this punk).

Akron hasn't had the NFL players that the likes of Mich/JFFU have had. But they have had enough participate to at least put a team together....though some of them had barely a cup of coffee:

QB: Charlie Frye...t6

RB: Ara Parseghian...17

WR: Domenik Hixon...5

WR: Jake Schifino...18

TE: Chris Kelley

OC Mike Tefke

OG Dan Callahan...9

OG: Ron Pasquale

OT: Andy Alleman...7

OT Ralph Waldesmith

Off Wild Card player: Clark Gable (at least...he appeared in a football movie with Red Grange)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0017233/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm

DE Jason Taylor...1

DE Scotty Bierce...15

DT Red Daum...16

LB Chase Blackburn...active

LB Ed Grimsley...9

LB Louis Mackey...t10

LB Ryan Meyers...t10

DB Victor Green...2

DB Dwight Smith (2 SB Int returns for TD)...3

DB Reggie Corner...t6

DB Robert Lyons...t10

Next to their names is my rank of the order in which were the best players.

Jason Taylor of course is the cream of this crop...3 time all Pro, 6 time Pro Bowl (only one to do so).

Only Possible HOF candidate. (except Ara Parseghian....as coach in College HOF)

I don't get why you're still on your "but they're from Ohio!" kick.

It doesn't matter. OSU should have kept them. I'm from Ohio.

There were too many good ones in Ohio to put them all on one roster....at least it used to be that way.

Well my youth is certainly doing me no favors here. Although Texags just did a top 100 all time list I could use.

QB: Johnny (current), Bucky Richardson (late 80s, early 90s)

WR: Mike Evans (current), Ryan Swope (current), Terrence Murphy (early 2000s)

TE: Rod Bernstine (mid 80s)

OT: Luke Joeckel (current), Jake Matthews (current), Richmond Webb (mid 80s)

OG: Joe Routt (mid 30s), Dennis Goehring (Bear Bryant era), Seth McKinney (mid 90s),

C: Jerry Fontenot (mid 80s), Patrick Lewis (current)

DE: Ray Childress (early 80s), Jacob Green (late 70s), Sam Adams (early 90s)

DT: Charlie Krueger (Bear Bryant era), Rolf Kreuger (mid 60s)

OLB: Von Miller (current), Aaron Wallace (mid 80s)

ILB: Dat Nguyen (late 90s), Ed Simonini (mid 70s)

OLB: Johnny Holland (mid 80s), Quentin Coryatt (early 90s),

CB: Kevin Smith (late 80s, early 90s), Aaron Glenn (early 90s), Pat Thomas (mid 70s)

S: Lestef Hayes (mid 70s), Dave Elmendorf (late 60s), Patrick Bates (early 90s)

The aggie (JFF) fans were only a problem until JFF shit the bed last season. Most of the fanboys left after that happened. The Aggies who stuck around have tempered their expectations on Manziel and have an optimistic "show me" approach which is far more palatable than "John Football has a 20 pound hang-down and is going to drop a steaming load on any defense who dare oppose him"

How many Aggies joined the board after the 2014 draft? Lots of animosity for them. Always wondered if it was pre-existing before I got here or if I'm the cause.

For me, it is three things:

1) The NCAA Football cover vote with Denard vs Swope. God, Aggie fans were annoying. That was my first experience with them.

2) Anyone that is an "SEC fan". Ugh.

3) Then the JF dick sucking immediately after we drafted him. That pushed a lot of people over the edge.

Johnny? How?

Wouldn't you at least pick Tannehill?

Yea, I guess I didn't make it clear.....what I wanted was those players from each school that did the best in the Pros....not in college.

Example....take Ohio St. One of the greatest college performers of all time....only 2X Heisman winner, Archie Griffin.....would not land on the Ohio St. All Pro team.
