Why? It'll be a disaster. That is an extremely far drive for us, and it's on a Friday? Why not Saturday when more people would be able to attend. I don't think they thought this through... The Gipper
They are not worried about you....the Browns fan from NEOhio. They want the Browns fans.....and potential Browns fans from Columbus to show up for this. Expanding the market and all that. Next year: Toledo? wargograw
Thats pretty cool. Wish the Cowboys or Texans would play at Texas' stadium here.
Browns149
Toledo is a Detoilet town. I go there every Thursday for work and you very rarely see any Cleveland sports stuff. It's almost all Tigers and Lions stuff.

Flyin J
I bet all of training camp is moved to Columbus and the scrimmage stays also. Its the battle with the Bungles and Stoolers for Columbus supremacy. Right now we're losing.
Pumpkin Eater
Doesn't help that the stoolers draft a lot of OSU players and the Clowns hardly ever do.
The Gipper
Thats pretty cool. Wish the Cowboys or Texans would play at Texas' stadium here. Do the Cowboys still train in California? They used to. And yes, you would think that one of those teams would play a scrimmage in the SA/Austin area. Since you are down that way.....what is the ratio of Cowboys fans vs. Texans fans in that area. I am under the impression from my daughter that it is primarily Cowboy country....but that could change if the DATs could get their act together. And would a scrimmage of that sort help sway a few hearts and minds to go either way? Besides SA/Austin there are a few other major cities that seem to be "swing cities" i.e. large cities with no NFL team of their own that are territorily up for grabs between 2 different teams. Columbus is another between Browns/Bengals, Las Vegas seems up for grabs between Chargers/Raiders/49ers/Cardinals. Albequerque seems like a tug of war could take place between Cardinals/Cowboys/Broncos. Orlando between the Fla. teams Jags/Bucs/Fins? Birmingham Ala. between Saints/Tits/Falcons? Hartford between the Pats and the 2 NY teams? Louisville between Bengals/Colts/Tits? Greenville/Spartanburg between Atlanta and Carolina? I know I have had a conversation with ballpeen who lives in Chattanooga, which has divided loyalties between the Titans and Falcons. What say you? wargograw
Not sure where the Boys are now. They used to train at St. Edwards University here when I was a little kid. Got autographs from the big 3 laying around somewhere. Probably 60/40 in favor of Dallas here. When Mexicans cross the border they're given their UT, Spurs, and Cowboys shirts free from the border patrol. That's a running joke here because they just flock to those teams. There is some defection to the Texans though. Austin is the largest city without a pro team. At least I saw that on Jeopardy once.

But The 5 largest metro areas with no Pro team by virtue of their overall metro area rank (US only) are: 31. Las Vegas 35. Austin 37. Virginia Beach/Norfolk 38. Greensboro/Winston Salem 40.
