11. Who were the best pitchers on any Cleveland teams that won a World Series?

Bob Feller, Bob Lemon, Garcia

NO, actually, none of those can be considered to be the best pitcher of the 1948 Indians in that someone else actually had the best record.

You are going for Gene Bearden here but that is a bit subjective to call him the "best". Bob Lemon was considered the Ace of the staff and finished 5th in the AL MVP voting. Bearden did have more wins and lower ERA, but Lemon was higher in the "nerdy" stats ... Wins Against Replacement, Runs Against Replacement, etc.

On a side note ... Lemon hit .286 with five HRs as well!

I was going on the non-nerd stats. And yes, it is arguable who was the best pitcher. Bearden had a 20-7 record, Lemon 20-15, Bob Feller 19-15.

I should have not given him a NO......I will revise it to be a partially correct answer (I did say "pitchers" plural)

3. Besides 1950, 1954, 1955, 1964 what other years did a Cleveland team (not Ak/Can) win an NFL title?

4. Besides Paul Brown and Blanton Collier what other HCs led a Cleveland team to a championship?

5. Besides Otto Graham and Frank Ryan what other QBs lead a Cleveland team to a Championship?

7) Cleveland Naps then....named after Napoleon Lajoie

11) My answer was based on what little I could recall. World War II robbed Bob Feller of even more greatness than he achieved. He IS the best pitcher in Indians history, as you most likely will agree, regardless of stats.

2) Stupid me on the Rams, I knew that and didn't write it.

NO, the Indians were the Naps, but that was not their first name (they had 4 names in less than 20 years...for whatever reason)

That is why I revised and gave partial credit.
