BrownsKidd
I was thinking about Trump, and actually, him running might be a good thing.. here are some thoughts. Trump doesn't need washington. For many, politics has become a way of life, it has become a club for the elite. In order to stay in this club, the politicians NEED our votes. That is why they say things, do things, and make political issues out of issues that shouldn't be politicized. That's why politicians say things without saying anything; political speak which beats around the bush while juggling meaning and interpretation as people latch on to catch phrases or half truths. When politicians don't get our votes, they potentially miss out on the club. Trump on the other hand, doesn't need the club. Trump doesn't need Washington to keep up his lifestyle Trump doesn't need to say what he thinks we want to hear, he says what he wants to say, as coarse as it might be. For once, there is a politician that is coming to the table, not since Perot, that doesn't need Washington. Trump doesn't NEED our votes, he WANTS our votes to try and fix America. And he is someone that doesn't need money, appears to not be swayed by lobbyists and special interest Think about it.... As crazy and as egotistical as he may sound, perhaps this is what America needs right now; some guy to stand up, proud of what America WAS and wants to see the USA be what it once was. Will he get the nod... probably not. But I hope maybe, he gets enough support that it does wake up the politicians in Washington some.

WSS what exactly is refreshing about "i have a plan to wipe out ISIS overnight, but i'm not telling". The guy is a pompous asshat. In his delusional world he thinks he can solve a problem like ISIS almost overnight, in his own words. So this toupee'd fuck thinks he can solve an 1800 year old problem with his Brooklyn gangster antics. He's a moron and a buffoon the likes of which we'll never see again in our lifetime. A true distortion of the free market he is.
BrownsKidd
I agree with all that but seriously boys, isn't there something slightly refreshing about his approach to politics especially when compared to current and previous administrations and politicians? WSS Yes, agreed. Trump won't be taken seriously. If we had a seasoned politician who was a little more brazen like trump and spoke like trump, people would take him more seriously. Do I think we need politicians to be more candid and stand up for our country and take harder more direct approaches, yes! Is Donald the answer, probably not. But there is a side of me that is liking the "I don't give a shit" attitude.
Westside Steve
I heard a clip from a speech yesterday where he talks about Ford Motors building a two and a half billion dollar plant in Mexico. from there I'm assuming that thanks to the Free Trade Act they would be able to build automobiles and parts cheaply then ship them across the border tax free. Trump said in his speech that if they did so he would impose a 35 percent tax on every part every Auto everything they manufacture there to send back to the US. personally I'm never a big fan of populists rhetoric but that sounds like something any politician could say to the delight of his or her constituents. But it's pretty obvious we will get the bailout look the other way too big to fail blah blah blah system of government that both sides love. Just think if Jeb Hillary or Bernie Sanders would have said that, their constituents would be dancing in the streets. WSS
StinkHole
He's a huckster, a circus barker, an attention whore, con man knucklehead.. nah. Maybe, but like you and I he believes Obama is a fraud, a socialist with an agenda to "fundamentally transform America"....and not afraid to speak it out unlike other Republican cowards. I believe he is passionate and sincere about wanting to undo Obamas mess. Don't think I would want him as prez though.

BrownsKidd
Trump has said a lot of things. But the problem is, Washington and getting anything done. He also thinks that running a business equates to running a country. Sure budgets need balanced and you need cashflow, but there is more to it than that. His comment having Mexico build the wall... That is exactly what a business would ask of its vendors... To help out with a business project. In what way is Mexico a vendor, or a business partner that they would say yes to such a proposition. What's Trump's plan? Trump is right in that we do hold a lot of cards and were not doing anything with them. I would love to hear more of his strategy.
