Chris Matthews: "I think it is deeper than anger, I think there is a sense of betrayal among the best and the brightest, that we have given the country away on the border, on debt, on jobs. They feel like they have been betrayed by the elite and Donald Trump, ironically, is fighting the elite here, and the little guys is rooting for him."

Chuck Todd: "And the more we attack him, the more powerful he gets."

Nice of Todd to admit to the liberal Democrat SOP of attacking.

The following are not my opinions, but I agree with most of them. Your thoughts?

1 ) He’s not a political prostitute. Like it or not, Politicians these days are more concerned about campaign donations than the Joe average voter, and some of the donations are from over seas interests or corporations. Others are from nations or groups that hate us. Representing outside the USA interests over USA citizens to me is un patriotic, and both sides are guilty. In a debate, Trump can throw this knock out punch early and often. And his opponents know he’s got them dead to rights.

2 ) He’s not an insider. Congress has record low ratings. Politicians love to claim they are outsiders, but few of them truly are. Trump is.

3 ) He has next to no political record. This was Obama’s biggest asset as not much was know about his brief political career. As such he was harder to attack. While Trump has made several statements on the issues, you can’t call him to the mat on bad public votes. Everyone else has major blunders and flip-flops.

4 ) He’s uber successful and should do well on the jobs issue, which is a huge problem right now with record low labor participation rates.

5 ) He is one of the few candidates with the stones to be factually correct even if its politically incorrect to state it. And in many cases the majority of Americas agree with him.

6 ) His funding is unlimited.

7 ) He can recover from a mistake or take a political punch.

8 ) He’s famous. He’s very good on television and has a real presence about him. People vote for people they know. In my opinion Trump will do well with the low information voters.

9 ) His base is attracted to him, he does not have to work or oil squeaky wheels. A huge political advantage.

10 ) He is the most articulate in terms of change

Consider me on the Trump bandwagon.

Point 1 I agree

Point 2 I don't agree, he has been posturing for this since Obama was elected 7 years ago

Point 3 Again I don't agree, Trump has made political statements since he filed for bankruptcy

Point 4 I agree. He can create jobs

Point 5 Kind of agree, he can make statements that people like, but that doesn't make them true

Point 6 Anyone that has ANY chance of getting a party's nomination MUST have unlimited funds. THAT SUCKS BY THE WAY

Point 7 VERY TRUE, he already has done that

Point 8 Not true. Obama won in 2008 and no one knew him

Point 9 True again, but his base is not enough to win, He will need to win over A LOT of people

Point 10 His Idea of change might not work, in terms of getting elected

My dream election, at this time and day, is Trump vs. Hillary.........I hate to say it but give my vote to Trump.......................

Someone put me a coma for the next 4 years PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that's the case, he should garner a large portion on the Dem vote in the GE..

I think Dr. Carson is the stand-up tell it like it really is

nominee that is a far better candidate than Trump.

I believe Carson is going to surge after the debates

I kinda like Carson as the VP...both Trump and Carson are outsiders, not career politicians. Talk about groundbreaking.

Carson is too soft spoken, no energy.

Yes, points #1 & 2 is what Mr. Trump called the other candidates out on.

I'm definitely listening, I'm sure many of the "established Rs" are hoping he falls on his face Thursday night.

trump will do well Thurs night cause he'll suck all the air out of there. There will be zero substance from him but he'll be the most gregarious on stage and he''ll be given the win for it no matter how daft, preposterous and improbable the words are that come out of his mouth. Welcome to the U.S.A where goons like this are revered.

I don't know how anyone can look at the way the political and social climate has degenerated in the last 8 years and think 8 more years of democrats will do the trick

Republicans keep running people out there that most American's don't like. McCain and Romney really had no chance.

Someone so far to that side isn't going to win. If the Republicans can get a nominee that is more towards the middle, they might have a chance

Most Americans like hillary?

She will poll off the charts with women and she will do very well within the Democratic party and with minorities. And depending on who the Republicans march out there she may pull some of the more moderate Republican voters.

Hillary will not win.

I hope she doesn't win, that is for sure.

But the Republicans can't win with a far-right person, and people keep saying they won't win with a moderate either.

So what are they supposed to do?
