Browns add a pair of veteran defenders

Aug 16 2015, 9:51 AMDavid P. Woods

The Cleveland Browns signed linebacker Everette Brown and defensive back Aaron Ross on Sunday, the team announced.

Brown is in his seventh season as a pro. He has appeared in 44 games with the Carolina Panthers, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Redskins, totaling 63 tackles and seven sacks.

Ross, a first-round pick in 2007, has appeared in 83 games for the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars, tallying 250 tackles and 11 interceptions. Ross signed with the Baltimore Ravens last season but missed the year with an Achilles injury.

I did not know we had two openings on the roster.

Agree... Ross was a good player with NYG.

Brown??? Another multi-team, journeyman OLB/ DE... Did have two decent seasons playing part-time in CAR. Maybe he's my 3-down OLB?

Hmm ... who is injured/we are disappointed in?

Zombo

Desir/ Gilbert???

Mingo/ ???
