OK, here is a set of trivia.....stuff all over the board NFL wise. Some o' dis, some o' dat:

I thought this was easy this week. Sorry guys, your game is about on the same level as Michael Bowie.

1. The Seahawks could become only the third team in Super Bowl history to appear in 3 consecutive Super Bowls...if they were to win the NFC this year. Who are the other two teams?

The Dolphins from 71-72-73 who won 2 of the three, and the Bills from 1990-1993 who won none of the 4.

2. Which of the following franchises has never won back to back championships in pro football history:

Bears, Bills, Broncos, Browns, Bulldogs, Colts, Cowboys, Dolphins, Eagles, Giants, Lions, Oilers, Packers, Patriots, Steelers, 49ers

Giants own like 8 titles, but never won a back to back title. All other teams mentioned here did.

3. Which of the following franchises did NOT win at least 3 championships in a 6 year period at some time in pro football history:

Bears, Browns, Bulldogs, Cowboys, Lions, Packers, Patriots, Raiders, Steelers, 49ers

Raiders won in 1976, 1980, 1983. That is 3 in 8 years....but it is not 3 in 6.

Bears did it in the 40s, Browns in 40s/50s, Lions in 50s, Packers in 60s, Patriots in 00s, Steelers in 70s, 49ers in the 80s.

4. A. Which QB whose career began before 1970 had the most 300 yard passing games in his career?

Johnny Unitas had 26 plus one in the playoffs. (Sonny Jurgenson had 25)

B. Which QB whose career began from 1970-1980 had the most 300 yard passing games in his career?

Dan Fouts with 51

C. Which QB whose career began after 1980 had the most 300 yard passing games in his career?

Peyton Manning 91....most of all time: Brees 86, Brady 65)

5. Which QB in history has the most games in which his passer rating for that game was 0.0?

Terry Bradshaw went for the big goose egg 3 times in his career, the only guy to ever have so many.

6. Which QB has posted the most "perfect" passer rating games (158.3 passer rating) in his career?

Peyton Manning has 4. Kurt Warner and Ben R. have 3 each.

7. Two Browns QBs have posted a "perfect" passer rating game. Who?

Frank Ryan 12/12/1964 vs. Giants in a 52-20 win he went 12/13 202 yards 5 TDs -0- Ints

Brian Sipe 10/29/1978 vs. Bills in a 41-20 win he went 12/15 217 yards 3 TDs -0- Ints

It seems the key to a "perfect game" is not to have so many yards, but to have a high completion pct. throw several TDs, and have no Int.s

8. Name the NFL team that the following are the mascots for:

A. T-Rac... Titans

B. Sourdough Sam....49ers

C. Captain Fear...Buccaneers

D. Blue....Colts

E. Toro....Texans

F. Big Red.....Cardinals

9. Which of the following Head Coaches does NOT have a .700 or better postseason winning pct.:

Bill Belichick, Weeb Ewbank, Tom Flores, Joe Gibbs, Vince Lombardi, Don McCafferty, Chuck Noll, Buddy Parker, Barry Switzer, Bill Walsh

Chuck lost a few early and later in his career to give him a bit lower pct.

10. Which 2 teams have the longest current postseason appearance streak?

The Packers and the Patriots with 6 years running. Both are favored to go back as well this year no doubt.

11. What team has the longest postseason appearance streak in Pro football history?

The Cleveland Browns....10 years running. 1946-1955. (The Cowboys and Colts later had 9 year streaks)

12. What are the 3 largest US Primary Statistical areas (metropolitan areas) that do NOT have a team in any of the 4 major professional sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL)

1. Las Vegas 2. Hartford 3. Hampton Roads i/e Norfolk/Va. Beach area

Bonus: What is the only state that has a team in all of the 4 major professional, but they are not all in the same metropolitan area?

Ohio.....NBA in Cleveland, MLB and NFL in Cinci and in Cleveland. NHL in Columbus. All other states that have all 4 sports have a metro where all 4 are located e.g. Calif: Bay Area, Arizona: Phoenix, Colorado: Denver; Texas: Dallas, Minnesota: Twin Cities; Illinois: Chicago, Michigan: Detroit; Florida: Miami; DC: Washington; Pennsylvania: Philly; New York New York, Mass. Boston

Other states:

Washington: baseball/football no NBA or NHL in Seattle

Oregon: only NBA in Portland

Missouri: MLB/NFL in KC and St. L. NHL in St.L...no basketball

Louisiana: only NBA and NFL in New Orleans

Indiana: only NBA and NFL in Indy

Tenn.: NBA in Memphis NFL and NHL in Nashville, no MLB

Georgia: NBA/NFL/MLB in Atlanta.....had all 4 but NHL recently left

N. Carolina: NBA/NFL in Charlotte. NHL in Raleigh....but no baseball
