How many of you opposed to Trump...

Would "consider" him if he ran on a ticket as VP or some hypothetical situation could be created where he didn't have access to "the button". Dude makes some economic sense I'll give him credit. His bloviating ego just scares me. Like he'd get us in some shit we might never get out of. Guys like him becoming Ceasar is kind of how Rome started their decline. Like I don't think Trump is Caligula...but I could def see a Trump offspring being like that. But yeah, on the economic side the guy is making some beleivers.

I think the whole thing is a stunt. He is chummy with the Clintons and wouldn't be shocked if he milked this for as long as he could to derail the GOP.

Well I honestly think her run is over so he might as well run for keeps. She's not gonna implode over night but this is gonna slowly die over time. She's done. But her Clinton ego won't accept it for a long time.

I don't know if there is a stereotypical American anymore.

Just stereotypes of groups of Americans.

But no stereotype should be running for president.

Yes a brash loudmouth blowhard who just happens to be the only candidate saying the things people want to hear. The rest all measure their words or completely bullshit almost up to the point of the President himself. I would not vote for him in the primary and I think his numbers will wither as more and more candidates leave the race. If he did by some chance win the nomination I would most certainly vote for him rather than mrs. Clinton or comrade Sanders.

I still think Carson is a man of principle, and he'll say exactly what he means.

trouble is, he isn't that good at sound bites for votes. He's too intelligent for that.

He kind of reminds me of Ross Perot, a guy with enough money that he doesn't really need the established political party money. I like that a lot.

He's got the GOP ALEC blowhards in a tizzy.

I find it interesting because I figured there is no way a Democrat can win the White House after all the crap Obama's administration has done.

If he makes it to the ballot, he could beat Hilary. Will he implode in his own ego, or will the old GOP money deny him? Interesting stuff.

He no doubt has some positive attributes, and would be an asset in terms of revenue generation to either party. But he's bad for plenty of things that would (should!) prevent him from being seriously considered for real power. Like said earlier, he seems very easy to manipulate because of his ego.

I'm not opposed to Trump, but I probably wouldn't vote for him.

I think he would be good for the economy, but not so good at foreign relations

His ego would piss off other heads-of-states. IMO

Stuart here.

Gee, I come back after being out of town for week and nothing has changed except for some panties up in knots moderator deciding to change my name.

Must have been something I said lol.

You once thought of Trump as a flash in the pan, and now you fear him. No need to fear him Cleve. Obama started this country on its decline in '08, promising to fundamentally transform it, remember?... and if you knew anything about Romes decline, you would see that the factors attributing to the downfall of Rome closely parallels the factors attributed to liberalism that are sending this country to hell...including the social shit spawned by liberalism...sexual freedom and moral decay, the disintegration of the family, godlessness, all that shit was going on in Rome before its decline.

Too bad Rome didn't have a Trump to save it.

Stinkhole listens to much right wing talk. Rome didn't fall because of conservatism or liberalism, these are modern day boiler plated narratives foisted on us. Rome fell cause it got too big. Imperialist expansionism is a bubble. Rome grossly mismanaged it's resources/land. If you want a "real" primer in how societies fall...look up rome and soil. What they did to their land necessitated taking more land...became a vicious loop. Soon only the rich were being fed proper food. Exactly what's happened here. And that's why we're failing. That whole "breadbasket" of the world nonsense is long over. Unless you like your bread with a whisper of industrial chems baked into it

Rome also fell because they over extended themselves passed out too much free shit to the citizens and other nations caught up with them militarily. They got complacent and weak. As soon as the world got hip to the bronze sword and the style of fighting they lost a huge advantage.

Whenever an empire loses its will to conquer it's over.

The world is no longer agrarian.
