Tour2ma
Meanwhile back at the Raiders...Just finished watching their BLT game on replay...Defensively: Their 4-3 looks fast, but small... excepting two interior starters. They generated little pressure. Their LBs played us very tough last year. Secondary, lead by Woodsen, had enough to give Flacco pause on a fair percentage of plays, but aside from Smith BLT doesn't have much in the way of threatening. Pretty easy to see a plan where we run early and often and wear them down.Offensively... Carr's eye discipline seems pretty good. Saw more "looking off" than "staring down". Pretty calm in the pocket which they sometimes moved for him. Good PA fakes including a couple bootlegs... our backside guy(s) will need to be disciplined. Also cut loose a throw back across the field for a TD. Accuracy drops when on move, especially if movement is not by his choice. The over/under for bubble screens/ quick throws to Cooper is 5.5... take the over. And when you go to tackle him wrap up. I saw him bouncing off BLT LBs' attempts to knock him down... great balance. A lot more fun to watch playing someone else than he will be Sunday. Crabtree seemed to be the beneficiary of every blown BLT coverage... really only made one good play that I can recall. Still looks taller and leaner than Cooper to my eye... Murray showed some flashes running the ball, but since I have him in a couple fantasy leagues, I would not worry much about him. TBH, it's hard to know how good this group might be. BLT is not showing much on D right now.

TexasAg1969
Browns 35 Raiders 20. A big sigh of relief when Josh McCown throws for 340 yards and 3TDs gets a couple of first downs with his legs and proves once and for all he can slide. Browns prove that have a efficient Starting QB and a competent Back up trying to learn his way towards 2016 starting battle with who ever... I like your pick-mine would be in the same scoring ballpark. I was thinking around 34-24 Browns.

wargograw
Weren't Mack's stats fairly pedestrian last year too? I know he dominated, just thought I remember it didn't show up in the form of stats.
Mudfly
With McClown as QB: Raiders: 28 Browns: 3 Odd how McCown was in the lead every single preseason game....1's on 1's.....then he handed off to the others.....and we lost 2 outta 3... So, he's our only QB this year, who hasn't been shut out ....or let another team even lead......or lost ....

Tour2ma
Shocking stat.....Kmack has zero sacks and only 3 tackles..... this scares me..... Del Rio and Company are putting him in a 3-point most of the time. Last year I remember him standing up as an OLB in either a 4-3 or 3-4 look. OAK seems to be really strapped for DL... one of their backup DTs only weighs 278... Based on the OAK/BLT review and break down of our 1st half vs. TN, I expect us to be able to run on these guys. May even need to give Draughn touches just to give Crow and Duke a breather. I think that means McCown has a better chance of a sub-200-yd game than a 300+... that is unless our D doesn't show up... and I'm guess that it will. Shaping up to be a low-scoring, blow-out victory in my eyes... along the lines of 27-10. So clearly we are doomed...

gftChris
Good question. While maybe he didn't fill the stat sheet, I know people were raving about his performance. So maybe stats don't tell the whole story. Sacks were what was missing. In terms of hits and hurries he was off the chart. When your secondary can't cover receivers for more than two seconds, you're going to struggle to get sacks. Oh, and, his edge setting was top notch. The Gipper
Not as bad as the all brown worn in previous years. The stripe on the pants makes it better.......but I still don't think we need the name of the team on there.....just continue the stripe. (do they think people will not know who is playing?) Mudfly
Yep....Kmack does it all.....amazing against the run.....also can rush the QB and generally just create havoc......though I dont think sacks are the reason for his positive ratings...(thats Kruger, I do believe).... D Bone
Damn it: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2015/09/25/browns-cornerback-kwaun-williams-out-with-concussion/72809894/ Browns cornerback K'Waun Williams out with concussion BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Browns starting nickel back K'Waun Williams sustained his third concussion in less than a year and will sit out Sunday against Oakland, forcing changes to Cleveland's secondary. Coach Mike Pettine said following practice Friday that Williams, who signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent last year, complained of headaches Thursday and the team placed him in the NFL's concussion protocol. The Browns don't know when Williams suffered his head injury. He practiced the past two days and was not listed on the injury report earlier this week. Williams also suffered a concussion on Oct. 12 last season against Pittsburgh and in the Dec. 28 finale at Baltimore. With Williams out, right cornerback Tramon Williams will likely move into the slot when the Raiders line up three wide receivers and Pierre Desir will play outside. Backup free safety Jordan Poyer has also spent some time in the nickel position. The loss of Williams could be costly for the Browns, who will have to handle Oakland receivers Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper, both of whom had more than 100 yards receiving last week in a win over Baltimore. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr passed for a career-high 351 yards in the win. Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden said Williams will be tough to replace. "He means a lot to the secondary," Haden said. "K'Waun's a guy that was undrafted, so he works super-hard. He goes out there, goes hard, knows his assignment, alignment, and he locks up the slot guys. That's his thing." Haden is also concerned about Williams' long-term health. "Definitely, man, because that's your head," Haden said. "And K'Waun, he's a young dude. He hasn't been in the league that long, so if he's messed up like that, he felt like he needed to go get himself checked out and make sure everything's OK." Cornerback Justin Gilbert (hamstring) and defensive end Desmond Bryant (shoulder) are questionable for the game Sunday. Gilbert missed Cleveland's first two games with a hip flexor and the former first-round pick, a major disappointment so far, hurt his hamstring in Thursday's practice. Bryant didn't practice at all, and if he can't go, rookie Xavier Cooper will be active for the first time

Mudfly
I think Desir will do just fine..... Though, Id expect him to p/u #2 and play outside, while Williams moves inside for the nickle.....
Tour2ma
Seems to be the consensus move, Mud, but against a team with a big fall off in production after their top 2, I'm not sure that's the best use of Williams.

Flugel
Haden should be fine.....yeah he had a rough game against the Jets, but he certainly didnt forget how to cover all of a sudden.... Usually, its those tall-long receivers where he does well(think AJGreen).....and its the short fast guys who make him struggle(think Antonio Brown)....Id expect him to handle Cooper just fine and maybe even provide a lil schooling to the rookie..... Good points about Haden Mud! I think Dalton helps Haden way more than he helps AJ Green in that matchup. I've seen too may examples why to question them at this point. Unfortunately, a couple matchups have reminded me that a size advantage on the perimeter can even make an elite corner like Joe vulnerable or at least in need of some help. In saying such a thing, I will provide examples. Last year, when we played New Orleans - Sean Payton made an brilliant adjustment that lined Jimmy Graham out wide isolated on the unfair size advantage he had over Haden. It wasn't that he thought Haden sucked as much as he knew he could exploit an unfair size advantage with his accurate QB. The Jets had a similar type of matchup even though it wasn't Drew Brees (it was just a QB clearly better than Andy Dalton). Interestingly enough, when NY threw to Marshall on the other side of formation - our Safety (Gipson) helped out in coverage and intercepted the pass. Kind of the lesser of 2 evils....Williams is probably the better choice at both positions...ha!..... though Id say he has a much larger edge in the slot....while Desir offers a long body to pick up the taller receivers Holmes & Roberts, which is where he excels.... Good points about Haden Mud! I think Dalton helps Haden way more than he helps AJ Green in that matchup. Ha!....Dalton is my favorite Bengals QB.....everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!....
