BrownsfaninPa Posted December 7, 2015 Report Share Posted December 7, 2015 Iam a long time fan of the Browns, and the NFL. Iam an old school type of fan on how this game should be played. So I ask you what's wrong with this team? Is it how the team is being coached? Is it the attitude of todays players? Are the players being to lazy? There has to be a formula on being better? All of a sudden we have no run game all of a sudden defenders are charging right through what should be a good o-line and all of a sudden all three quarterbacks are completing a nice amount of passes. WSS People are clinging to any positives. Our D has been so bad, O is the only place we'll find them, and Barnidge and Benjamin are having breakout seasons. Last year Crowell got about 600 yards, 8 TDs and run at around 4 ypc. This year, he's on pace for about 80 fewer yards, on 20 more carries - around 3.2 ypc, and a TD. WSS Ive had him there since pre-season......shocking to see so many people liking him, while literally screaming for Oneill and Pettines heads.... Whats funny is that the D stayed pretty much the same this year, while the O has fallen off a lot more....so, you'd think by everybodies reaction that its the other way around..... WSS I posted in another thread that the defense is ranked 30th overall and the offense is ranked 26th overall. Everyone wants O'Neil's ass on a platter but Flip gets a pass. I don't get it. From his background or lack of one he has done surprisingly better than had expected with LIMITED talent. Has he made some bonehead calls? Absolutley But he needs the chance to make adjustments and figure a few things out. Everyone gets there first action somewhere so why not give him another season. Im just not looking forward to OC #5 in a 4 year period or whatever. That's spells disaster. Especially when Dflip was the ONLY CANIDATE that actually would take the job. THIS is possibly more scheme or coaching than any of the other problems Ive seen, as it is positively the one area we've seen the biggest drop off and KNOW we can succeed with the talent at hand....(cant say the same for the D tho) O line doesnt have a Coach and OC is inexperienced. Its pretty apparent that Flip was QB coach and his scheme seems to match that.....all pass, no run.....and he cant seem to figure out what Shanny could......
