Well sure, that's lovely. Chances of Bosa or Goff falling to 10, let alone both?

It would be interesting to see what people would do with the free agency portion of the offseason included as well, and there's a sim for that...somewhere!

Here's the link...

So first step...

SIGNED PLAYERS
Name Position Cap Hit
Travis Benjamin WR 4,200,000 - 6m per year
Mitchell Schwartz T 4,400,000 - 8m
Tashaun Gipson S 6,300,000 - 9m
Malik Jackson DE 4,900,000 - 7m
Von Miller OLB 7,425,000 - 13.5m
The cap hit doesn't reflect what I offered them - Von Miller was $13.5m per year, 40% guaranteed, for example, not sure how they ended up with that.
CUT
Name Position
Paul Kruger OLB
Jim Dray TE
Andrew Hawkins WR
Johnny Manziel QB
Taylor Gabriel WR
Dwayne Bowe WR

Now to the draft part. Clearly still need a QB, and some WRs!

Your score is: 8696 (GRADE: A+)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 2: Jared Goff, QB, California (A+)
Round 2 Pick 9 (NYG): Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 2: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA (A+)
Round 3 Pick 8 (NYG): Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 1: Scooby Wright III, ILB, Arizona (B-)
Round 5 Pick 2: Maliek Collins, DT, Nebraska (A+)
Round 6 Pick 1: Bralon Addison, WR, Oregon (A+)
Round 7 Pick 2: DeAndre Washington, RB, Texas Tech (A-)
I would wet myself with excitement if that draft happened, but I suspect not. Kenny Clark and Emmanuel Ogbah won't last until the third round, and Scooby Wright looks likely to go on day 2 somewhere, but still, that's what the sim gave me.

Great moves Chris. But sure would love to see that C or G in 3rd to move Grego over to C or keep Erving out of C? I see a lot of DT being drafted but Lava Lava I trust is our future if used properly?

I would agree with this too.....except, if Im understanding it correctly?.....$6m per year to Benjiman and $9m per year to Gipson seems outrageous....and would be way overpaying....

Otherwise, Im down....

Just a little fly in the ointment. Von will get a minimum of $14mil if the Broncos franchise him, which they will do if no contract is signed by the last day to franchise.

Stay out of Chris' ointment... and keep your fly zipped.

Benji wouldn't sign for less, and 9m is the going rate for a top safety.

Sure, again, just going on the sim results. They didn't franchise him and he hit the open market.

With Mack cut - I basically signed Gino Gradkowski as an almost direct replacement. Will look to draft someone as well maybe later if it's good value:

Ahtyba Rubin DT 2,000,000 - 2.5m
Danny Trevathan ILB 3,000,000 - 5m?
LeGarrette Blount RB 2,250,000 - 3m
Gino Gradkowski C 3,000,000 - 4m

Paul Kruger OLB

Sorry T. We have no Campbell @RT Erving?. Still show guys on roster Raheem Mostert (18), Terrell Watson RB from Cinn. is that Olson? sim no update? D looks hell lot better :)

DOH! SO you don't think Israel can handle RT? ;) And forgot that I'd resigned Olsen, but thought he was likely bubble material, thus the 0% guarantee. Anyway... added and gone...

All the PS guys are dumped into the one roster up on the Browns' website... so there's a few names listed that the sim site has not bothered to update.

I do kinda like the D. I think the front 7 just might be able to generate some pressure. :)

I gave up trying to resign Gipson. Last offer he rejected was $7.5/2/50. Poyer might be serviceable at FS. He did do some nice fill in work. The kid I drafted late is interesting. Kearse played as a 6'4 SS last year for Clemson at 220 lbs. And he's fast enough to handle FS... And while I list him at CB, I still think Gilbert might pull off FS.

. And while I list him at CB, I still think Gilbert might pull off FS.

I see lots of FS options beyond Gipson, though I dont think anyone is gonna pay him top dollar.....Eric Weddle and Reggie Nelson would be good pick ups......Gilbert is a VERY interesting prospect at FS, providing he picks up on his tackling......still think Desir could fill that role quite well too.....

Shit, meant to post one earlier today...hopefully it's still queued up in my work computer's clipboard when I get back in the office.

This is the problem I have with this game...

Traded with Dallas to #4, picked up their 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

First two picks were Tunsil (TEN), Ramsey (DAL).

Traded 2017 1st and 2018 1st, plus 2016 3rd and 5th for San Diego's #3.

Took Bosa at #3.

Traded #4 to San Fran for #7, 2016 2nd, 2016 5th (I think)

Next three picks were Goff (SF), Buckner (JAX), Stanley (BAL).

Took Jack at #7.

Traded 2016 2nd, 2016 2nd, 2016 3rd, 2016 5th, 2016 6th with NYG to move up to #10.

Took Wentz at #10.

Bunch of other shit happened.

Took Brothers at #32.

Took Matakevich in the fourth.

Took Kolby Listenbee with my last pick.

Ended up with:

Bosa

Jack

Wentz

Brothers

Matakevich

Listenbee

When all was said and done, I got the top OLB, one of the top DE's, one of the top QB's, probably the third rated pure ILB, a project ILB, and a KR/ possible replacement for Benjamin.

Still got a 7,600 or some shit.

Granted, I did mortgage our future...

And deservedly so. It was some shit because you got Jack Shit coming in the next two drafts. :P No one in their right minds gives up two future first rounders for a #3, let alone adds in all the rest of those. Did you learn nothing from the Ricky Williams deal?

I'd venture to say that Myles Jack and Joey Bosa would likely be top ten prospects in the next two drafts, so it's essentially a wash. And are you implying that every pick outside of the first round is "jack shit"?
