Dolphins add Vance Joseph as defensive coordinator By Kevin Nogle @thephinsider on Jan 12, 2016, 5:28p The Miami Dolphins have hired Cincinnati Bengals defensive backs coach Vance Joseph to be the South Florida franchise's defensive coordinator, according to Adam Schefter. The hire was initially reported as a lock on Saturday after the team hired head coach Adam Gase, but was then denied by Joseph, who was still in the Playoffs with the Bengals, and rumors seemed to suggest Joseph could be waiting to see if Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson landed a head coaching job, potentially to follow him instead.
