Wow! That is news! Wonder if they still get an OT.

Well.... it does take Zeke out of the running, so that's one less reason to trade down.

It's the De-Chipping of the Eagles... Makes our house-cleanings seem puny...

Ideally, I'd like to see us go in and make a decent splash in FA this year. Unlikely? Sure. But I think if we were able to land, say, four "impact" free agents, it would do wonders for our draft board. When I say "impact", I don't necessarily mean top-10 guys, per se, but more impactful to the franchise by filling voids caused either by a dearth of talent or departing UFA's.

If I add to envision a scenario that would make me absolutely ecstatic, I'd say something like (numbers in parentheses are SI.com FA ranking):

Sign Danny Trevathan (17)

Sign Stefan Wisnewski (46)

Sign George Iloka (9)

Sign Andre Smith (26)

Sign Marvin Jones (15)

All of these players are young, fill a void, and have proven themselves at this level. This would replace a departed Mack, a departed Schwartz and a departed Gipson with young talent, plus add a three-down ILB from the Ohio area and a young, tall boundary receiver as #2 WR to help keep defenses more honest.

This is a doable, realistic FA strategy, in my opinion. And it would eat up about 20-25 million of our 40 million budget.

Raiders may have violated rules in their dealings with Camp Osemele...

Denver just released Owen Daniels.....solid vet that might be a good value in a secondary role to Barnidge....

I like Owen, but if Kubiak is willing to part with a player who has gone everywhere Gary has HC'd, is there an issue? Would give me pause...

Olivier Vernon just had his transition tag removed bc the Fins completed the signing of Williams. So he's a free agent.. and at only 26, worth it if Harrison or Wilkerson won't consider Cleveland.

Williams? There are about 100 Williams in the NFL....which one?

And what position does Vernon play? And who is Harrison....I hope you don't mean James Harrison.
