Why aren't more people enraged about social security?

Seriously you are forced to pay into something your whole life with the promise you will be able to retire at a certain age and the government (both sides of the aisle) seriously keeps fucking it up, will there even be anything left when I retire?

You deserve it though. I'm talking about the ones who play crazy and get a stupid check every month so they don't have to work. Oh yeah they can act as normal as every worker in America except when it comes times to get up off the couch and earn an honest living.

I criticize the republican party all the time on this issue. People earned their social security and they earned their pensions. If you want to balance the budget don't go after those who earned their benefits. If pensions were too liberal than too bad. This is what was promised. One of the real faults of our country is not keeping our word.

 

If you want to cut down the size of spending then focus elsewhere not on people who worked all their lives and played by the rules and then take away what was promised to them.
