If you want to balance the budget don't go after those who earned their benefits. If pensions were too liberal than too bad. This is what was promised. One of the real faults of our country is not keeping our word. If you want to cut down the size of spending then focus elsewhere not on people who worked all their lives and played by the rules and then take away what was promised to them.
